Sorry for the poor sound volume and quality, it was much lower than this originally. Not sure why it downloads so low from the VHS tape to my computer. I raised the volume all the way with my software, hence the hiss. If I reduced the hiss, the volume went with it too. I figure better to have some hiss and hear the voice than not. For the record..no, David Carradine was not a "kung-fu master" in this video he's just doing the lead in the exercises, though he was said to get more serious about doing tai chi and some other martial arts related exercises later in life. I posted this merely because it's a pretty good workout that I hope will help some or a lot of people getting stronger, healthier and to perhaps look into Kung-fu more seriously as a martial art form, for exercise health and longevity.

Chuck Norris Vs David Carradine Climactic Final Fight - Lone Wolf McQuade Knowing that Lone Wolf McQuade casts Chuck Norris as a Texas Ranger, one might be inclined to think that this was a preview of his later Walker, Texas Ranger series. But one would be sadly mistaken. McQuade is far from the straight arrow that Cordell Walker was on television. He's just not a people person which is why he likes to work without a partner. When one is forced on him in the person of Robert Beltran, he greets him with a weapon when Beltran goes to his house to wake him up for what the day might bring them. Eventually the two do form some mutual respect. What Norris is after is some bad guys who come from both sides of the border in the business of smuggling arms. On this side of the border the bad guys are led by David Carradine who is a karate master himself. He's toting as a trophy the wife of his former partner who is played by Barbara Carrera. David Carradine (December 8, 1936 June 3, 2009), born John Arthur Carradine, was an American actor best known for his work in the 1970s television series Kung Fu and more recently in the movie Kill Bill. He appeared in more than 100 feature films and was nominated four times for a Golden Globe Award. On June 4, 2009, Carradine was found dead in his room at the Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel on Wireless Road, near Sukhumvit, in central Bangkok, Thailand.[2][3] A police official said Carradine was found hanging by a rope in the room's closet.[13][14] Meanwhile, the Bangkok Post reported that his body was found curled up in the wardrobe with a shoelace tied around his penis and neck.[15] Khunying Pornthip Rojanasunand, a flamboyant Thai forensic pathologist and Director of Forensic Science Institute, gave the presumption, in reference to forensic theory, that the death of Carradine was an autoerotic accident; stating the incident met with four of the criteria for same. Now, a staple of the superhero mythology is, there's the superhero and there's the alter ego. Batman is actually Bruce Wayne, Spider-Man is actually Peter Parker. When that character wakes up in the morning, he's Peter Parker. He has to put on a costume to become Spider-Man. And it is in that characteristic Superman stands alone. Superman didn't become Superman. Superman was born Superman. When Superman wakes up in the morning, he's Superman. His alter ego is Clark Kent. His outfit with the big red "S", that's the blanket he was wrapped in as a baby when the Kent's found him. Those are his clothes. What Kent wears - the glasses, the business suit - that's the costume. That's the costume Superman wears to blend in with us. Clark Kent is how Superman views us. And what are the characteristics of Clark Kent. He's weak... he's unsure of himself... he's a coward. Clark Kent is Superman's critique on the whole human race. This is another part of an hour-long interview with the late actor, David Carradine, in 1989. He was a really great guy; a true gentleman. (For example, he did the interview despite the fact that the show had a tiny, non-commercial audience.) He was in Vancouver shooting Bird on a Wire, along with Mel Gibson, Goldie Hawn and bill Duke. Sorry about the poor quality, but this was all volunteer-run by amateurs, and this is a fairly poor VHS dub on top of all that. It was one of many interviews done by this cable-access TV show shot in Vancouver in 1988-89 called Conversation. Clearly, he was a good, kind man. He was playing Tennessee Waltz on the hotel piano when he was picked up for this interview. He kept the interviewer waiting and smoked on the set (verboten!) but it was all in good fun -- he was playful that way. A total mensch. Rest in peace.

73-year-old actor David Carradine was found dead today in his Bangkok, Thailand hotel room. KABC first broke the story and reported the Kung Fu and Kill Bill star died of natural causes. Now unconfirmed reports coming out of Thailand claim the actor was found by a maid with a rope around his neck and body which is leading Thai police to believe he committed suicide. His agent claims David had been in great spirits throughout his trip to Thailand. There is no word if police are looking into his death as a possible homicide.
