Chester Lian, a 20-year-old University of Dayton math major from Malaysia, is a Rubik's Cube wizard. He's ranked 14th in the world in solving a cube blindfolded. He's 35th in the world in solving multiple cubes blindfolded (by the way, he has solved 12 cubes blindfolded at once). He's "60 to 70th" in the world solving a cube one-handed. Chester says he does it with "almost no thinking involved. It's muscle memory and intuition."

December 21,2009 - Highlights from University of Dayton press conference announcing the acquisition of 115 acres, including NCR Corporation's former world headquarters and Old River Park. The University will move its expanding world-class Research Institute into the building, providing a signature facility for its research arm. UDRI conducts nearly $100 million annually in sponsored research and just received its largest contract in history — $49.5 million to develop advanced jet fuels and combustion technologies for the Air Force. The 455000-square-foot, five-story building along the Great Miami River also will provide a prominent home for a proposed Alumni Center envisioned in the University's master plan, as well as for graduate classes, executive development programs and conferences.

The US State Department estimates that each year as many as 800 thousand people crossing national boundaries are victims of human trafficking. More than 100 thousand US citizens are victims of human trafficking each year in the United States. The numbers are alarming to organizers of the Human Trafficking Accords, a conference sponsored by the University of Dayton in Ohio. As VOA's Kane Farabaugh reports, the conference aimed to raise awareness while, at the same time, the Federal Bureau of Investigation is cracking down on those who traffic in human victims.
