Several features were added to the "black holes". A) It's possible to define "neighbours" for spheres to get cylindrical gravity. B) The shape of the "hole" can be a box, too, and you can specify a certain direction for the gravity, to enable wall-walk. C) "Holes" may have parents now - which produces magnet-like behaviour. D) It's also possible to define scripts, so the "hole" works as a trigger. In this case, the spawner-point is activated as soon as the player enters the box-shaped "hole" object. The usual: Be aware that the models and textures are for test purposes only. I know it looks like programmer's art, but I really am a designer with some hobby programming skills. ;-) I study Multimedia|VR-Design at the Burg Giebichenstein in Halle (www.burg-halle.de). Tools used VC++ 2008 Express Edition, 3dsmax, Photoshop, AS3/flashdevelop (for the GUI). Dr Steve Dillon Project leader for acid's Network Jamming project introduces work by DJ producer and musician Ande Foster from Soundhive working with young artists from Queensland Academy of Creative Industries application in a live audio visual performance using jam2jam. The artists represent a multimedia ensemble including an Indigenous Australian visual; artist, a film maker and a musician with all students having strong musical backgrounds. The performance demonstrates the multimedia performance capacities of this systems. This is an improvised work. The presentation was part of the Jamskolan09 event that brought together researchers from Sweden the USA and Australia to develop applications and define a research agenda for generative media performance in schools and communities.

Ivo Draganac - ID Music Art Direction / Graphic Design / Music Production www.myspace.com Ivo received his first influences from his family, particularly his grandparents who were descendants from Yugoslavia and Italy, who immigrated to Peru to discover new exotic places and ways of life. Ivo Draganac Macchiavello, was born in Lima, Peru and became involved in the Latin culture, where electronic music and design werent well developed at the time in the 80's. His involvement grew and he benefited from the strong creativity of those early years and from the influences of an ancient culture. Now he lives in CT, USA. In 1984 he discovered his first musical inspiration Front 242 along with other German and Belgian music producers. He started with a mini sampler keyboard and so his deep knowledge of contemporary electronic music started. Fascinated by the music, ivo decided to produce many tracks and remixes. Born in Milan (IT), where he studied piano and composition, he began composing when he was a child. Having fallen in love for classical and jazz music, as well as electronic and pop music, he has been working for 20 years and still works as a composer, producer, sound designer, piano and keyboards player in many different music environments: from recording jingles, soundtracks and music for multimedia to dance and electronic productions. On the path of his research he developed a personal view. "It's a mix between classical, ambient and pop." he claimed. A handiwork of piano composition plus the wise use of various technologies that he likes to define "soundtracks without movies.
In the latest years there is a clear trend towards creating richer educational opportunities for schools in order to increase childrens participation. Constructivism and technology represent an important combination to define innovative educational courses. Storytelling is the fundamental link to convey the use of technology in didactic paths purposely conceived and structured for children, exploiting their natural fondness for using elements of their everyday culture and communication. This paper presents our experience in setting up and using a technology-based methodology for learning, so as to let children discover about drawing, one of the most ancient communication techniques. Starting from texts and stories, selected based on their age, children learn how to interpret and translate into images the content they wish to communicate, building the storyboard of their digital tale and using their creativity on texts, images and other components in order to realize a multimedia application.
