Unfortunately the XH558 was unable to fly Sunday at Farnborough. Due to a faulty brake unit on the landing seen in this video, the XH558 was unable to take part in the flying programme on Sunday at Farnborough. She was parked on Static display.This was the first technical issue encountered preventing flight in 2010 so I was lucky to see this flight on the 24th. A bit of history: After extensive tests, XH558's Olympus engines were started up for the first time in August 2007. A further two months of testing on the ground followed, to ensure that XH558 was 100% ready for flight. Finally, 14 years after its last flight & with over £7 million spent, Vulcan XH558 roared into the air on Thursday 18th October 2007. An unforgettable day for the Vulcan and the Sky team. A great British project, owing its success to optimism, determination, teamwork and a little bit of paranoia! XH558 was finally granted her Permit to Fly on 3rd July 2008, and returned to air displays two days later at a packed RAF Waddington Airshow, her former home. Hello on this Thursday, the 6 day of March. I'm Kristin Volk with a UPI Headline Update. A man on a bicycle is a possible suspect in a blast in Times Square early this morning. The incident happened at a military recruiting station in New York City's most famous spot. The bomb caused no injuries, but minor damage to the building. Officials say the device contained some kind of low order explosive in a military-style ammunition box. President Bush says Republican presidential nominee John McCain will stay the course in Iraq. Yesterday, Bush formally endorsed the Arizona senator in the White House Rose Garden. He said McCain understands this is a dangerous world, and he has the courage and determination to pursue the enemy. Democrats quickly responded saying a McCain presidency would represent a third Bush term by continuing his policies on Iraq, the economy and healthcare. Florida and Michigan leaders are pleading for a do-over so their delegates to the Democratic national convention will count in the presidential nominee tally. The national party stripped the states of their delegates as punishment for moving up their primaries. Talk about the delegates comes as Democratic senators Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama scramble for every available delegate. Hi all just a quick update for those who have been keeping an interest in our case " Accident at Costco's" our new solicitor has asked me to make a "Statement" for the next case management conference to be held in Central London County Court for trial instead of Edmonton County Court. I will be posting my statement below but I am sure that our solicitors won't agree to it and will make changes? Will put you all in the picture of the outcome. Statement I Colin Berry am making a statement on behalf of my wife Mrs. Mary Berry and my self; the reason why Mrs. Berry is unable to make her own statement is because of a head injury received at the accident. I Colin Berry am a self employed businessman who ran an established business since 1983 named "Colin Berry BMS" it specialized in Electrical and Plumbing and also offered to carry out Building Maintenance Specialist work on commercial and domestic properties. My wife does domestic work, 31 and a half hours a week for various individuals including 10 hours for Enfield Council, she also carried out additional work dealing with the clerical side of my business in taking calls and keeping accounts to date. MISSION STATEMENT: ACES is a non-profit child support organization dedicated to assisting disadvantaged children whose parents fail to meet their legal and moral child support and/or visitation obligations. ACES, The Association for Children for Enforcement of Support, Inc. a non-profit organization, was founded in March 1984. Today, ACES is the largest national grassroots child support advocacy organization in the United States with 40000 members and 165 chapters in 45 states. All are united in the ACES mission: to assist disadvantaged children affected by parents who fail to meet their legal, moral and financial obligations to support their children. A voluntary National Board of Trustees advises the organization. ACES members are representative of the families who have 18 million children owed $100 billion in unpaid child support. A snapshot of the average ACES member would show a single, female head of household who earns $14000 per year. Her two children are owed $7000 in unpaid support, which has accumulated at the rate of $65 per week for almost three years.
