Diamond Rio is an American country music band formed in 1984 in Nashville, Tennessee. Since its foundation, the group has comprised the same six members: Gene Johnson (born August 10, 1948 in Jamestown, New York); Jimmy Olander (born August 26, 1961 in Minneapolis, Minnesota); Brian Prout (born December 4, 1955 in Troy, New York); Marty Roe (born December 28, 1960 in Lebanon, Ohio); Dan Truman (born August 29, 1956 in Flagstaff, Arizona); and Dana Williams (born May 22, 1961 in Dayton, Ohio). Between 1991 and the present, Diamond Rio has charted a total of thirty-three singles on the U.S. country music charts (five of which reached Number One), in addition to releasing seven studio albums and two Greatest Hits compilations.
