Well here's the first video I've completed in almost a year( I think xD). Its nothing amazing but i really wanted to use a slow song and I just love this one,Plus i wanted to see if i could flow sort of well. Hmmmm....well about how I edited this really I'm not sure about how to say how I did I just kind of went with the flow and it seems it turned out well(or so I think). I like it,and that is all that matters.Although some parts might be a bit to quick or to slow but overall i think its decent/Good. I mainly tried to have a good bit of scene selection and mainly i just had alot of fades to go with the later parts of the song. The text of Obama's ad extended a storyline that has thread through the campaign, where McCain's digital communication failings are seen as a symbol of his being out of touch more generally with the public and unable to lead a country desperately looking to turn the page on the past. "Things have changed in the last 26 years, but McCain hasn't. He admits he still doesn't know how to use a computer, can't send an email, still doesn't understand the economy, and favors 200 billion in tax cuts for corporations, but almost nothing for the middle class. After one president who was out of touch, we just can't afford more of the same." Yahoo opened the topic when it questioned the Republican candidates about whether they used Macs or PCs. McCain's reply: "Neither, I'm a illiterate that has to rely on my wife for all of the assistance I can get." Political bloggers had a field day with that. Atrios wrote: "I think in 2008 computer use and understanding of the internet should be part of the basic skill set we expect from people in positions of prominent public leadership. It's pretty much impossible to have any kind of understanding of how people in the modern world go about their lives and work without that." Then in June, Internet strategists convened at the Personal Democracy Forum, culminating with a heated debate on stage about whether candidates must be able to use technology to have a real understanding of it. McCain countered in an interview with the Chronicle late July saying "It's changing the information age, and I've got to stay up with it." Also "I am forcing myself... let me put it this way, I am using the computer more and more every day." He added that his staff was "constantly showing [e-mail] to me as the news breaks during the day." That didn't ilicit much new confidence from techies in McCain's abilities, but it felt like a step. Whether McCain's physical limitations are part of what is keeping him from using computers remains to be seen, but if so, there are a lot of assistive devices out there for using computers for people who have injuries or disabilities: certain types of mice, voice activation software, special keyboards, keyboard usage training, etc. Still, training to use those kinds of devices can take time - something presidential candidates do not have at their disposal. With less than two months left in the campaign, there's definitely not enough time for a self-proclaimed computer illiterate to get up to snuff. Using new cellphone technology, a company called Avego is hoping to turn you and your friends into a massive network of taxis. This is no fly-by-night operation, either. It's a multi-million dollar initiative that could change the transport industry. Digital Journal TV -- From the department of Ambitious Ideas comes Avego, a company that has launched a tool to connect drivers with passengers via a new Web- and phone-based carpooling service. Think of it as a Web 2.0 hitchhiking or taxi service, of sorts, as drivers can sell a seat in their car to riders willing to pay. The technology that connects this whole network together is nothing short of impressive: The service works with regular cellphones, allowing you to call in to the company and follow voice-prompts to tell it where you want to go. A short while later, a driver will show up and give you a lift. From the driver's perspective, you get sent a text message when Avego's system finds someone on your way to work, for example, and you can swing by and pick up a paying customer for one of those empty seats in your vehicle. It all works through regular cellphones and the Internet, but it works better with a free downloadable application available to Apple iPhone users (set to hit the market in a few weeks in the U.S.). The iPhone app is made by Irish company Mapflow (Avego's parent company), and it uses GPS navigation and maps to guide you to a passenger waiting for a ride. Up until now, the company has limited its service to a small alpha pilot program of 20 to 30 vehicles in Dublin, Ireland. The company has now set up shop in San Francisco and it's releasing its beta program to any place where people can download from Apple's iTunes App store. Avego's entire system is automated, too Both a passenger and driver need a PayPal account and that's it; Avego will keep track of how far a driver carried a passenger, and the passenger's account will be debited for the trip. The driver is then compensated for the ride. No need to carry cash. So why does Avego think its service is needed? The company said it's found a "five-seat car traveling with only a driver is inherently inefficient, and yet 85 per cent of the time, that's how cars travel in much of the world." In an interview with DigitalJournal.com, company chairman Sean O'Sullivan said an empty seat could be worth as much as $3,000 per year to someone looking to recover part the expense of driving. From a passenger perspective, he said it can be even cheaper than taking public transit and it gets you right where you want to go. In addition to his role at Avego, O'Sullivan is also the head of a venture capital fund, SOS Ventures. When it comes to investment in Avego, O'Sullivan told DigitalJournal.com he has $120-million fund from start-up companies he's created in the past that have been successful. Avego has been given a "substantial commitment," and it currently has 15 engineers working on the project. Haunted Christmas Tree??? This is a quick excerpt clip of a video I just put in on Youtube on December 16, 2007. It is a shot of the old family Christmas tree that used to be my mother and father's. They are both deceased now and I live in their family home I grew up in. When I played back the video after I uploaded it on Youtube, I saw something fly across the screen near the very bottom center traveling from left to right as the train passes at 0:54 or 0:55 on the original video. It is very quick. On the clip I used here from the original video it happens at about 0:15 or 0:16 on this clip time frame. I have heard of ORBS and also EVP but only from a few documentaries on television shows about the subject but I have very little knowledge about these type of things and I don't know what this is that is on my tape? I certainly was not looking for something strange on the tape and was originally distracted and annoyed by it when I first noticed it when I played it back on Youtube and thought it was an imperfection in my taping. It is probably nothing at all and no big deal and would be easily explained by an expert in this sort of thing and I am probably just letting my imagination get the best of me. I tend to be very skeptical when it comes to things like this and I always try and look for logical reasons behind things. I feel somewhat embarrassed and like some kind of a nut asking about this and I'm sure there is a logical explanation of what caused this movement or what the flying circle is and I would appreciate any theories fellow youtubers might have about it. It is probably something that would be easily explained by someone familiar with things that can occur when videotaping but it has me a little puzzled and I would be interested in hearing some explanations about what caused this or what it is? Please feel free to post your theories here. Check out my other videos to see the original one minute long version of this video that the clip here is from. Originally, I thought it may be a combination from the train movement with the light movement from the animated figures causing a reflection or a refraction of light but the same thing does not happen the first time the train makes a revolution on the original video.
