Dizzy Dean day at Turner field. Landon running the bases.
Ok this was one of the highlights of the 2010 Dizzy Dean World Series at Jack Mattox Park in Ringgold GA.. The Warriors were down by 2 with 2 outs and the bases loaded! Number 14 here steps up to the plate and wins the game in the last inning! Was one of the highlights of the whole event and was fun shooting it. Hope to see the Warriors again next year! Good luck guys! Btw, props go to the movie "The Natural". Sound clip was from the ending when Robert Redford hits the home run. Probably one of the greatest baseball movies ever made. If you haven't seen it watch it. You will definitely love it!
A really nice news story put together by Chad Groening of WCBI News in Columbus, MS, about a group from Perdido, FL, visiting Tupelo for the 9-yr old Dizzy Dean baseball World Series | July 2010. Visit www.wcbi.com.
A portion of the welcome video seen at opening ceremonies at Bancorpsouth Arena, July 15th, for the 9-yr old Dizzy Dean world series, and the USSSA slow pitch softball world series, both held in Tupelo, MS.
