2008 Doo Wop Rally
Here are the highlights for our successful rally weekend in the DemonRally Volkswagen Rabbit. We won two stages overall, won every stage for Gp2 we competed in, and finished 1st or 2nd in 2WD. If it weren't for a fuel pump failure, we had a shot at the overall honors for the weekend. Next year! Our little Rabbit competes against other Subarus, Mitsubishis, Audis, Mazdas, Volvos, and other cars. Look for us at Olympus Rally 2008, running the Olympus 2WD challenge, and at demonrally.com

This is the second part of car 420's first pass through the Pico stage.
This is the first half of car 420's first pass through the pico stage. I had to split the video into two parts because it's longer than 10 minutes.
Video of the first run thru the first stage at Taholah, enjoy.
This is car 420's second pass through the Brooklyn stage. It was getting dark and our light pod wasn't working. I brightened the video so it looks about like what we saw.
This is car 420's first pass through the Smith Creek stage.
This is car 420's first pass through the famous Brooklyn stage. Unfortunately the camera cut out again before the end of the stage.

This is the 420 car's second run through the blue slough stage. We had a nice spin out in front of the spectators this time through.

The last stage of day 2 from the 2008 DooWops Rally in southwest Washington. This is the best rally stage in North America, the Brooklyn stage. Fast, flowing corners and tons of spectators, this stage is amazing. Despite a mechanical DNF earlier in the day, we got the car back together just to get a chance at this stage. The earlier record for the Group 2 class was 7:11 and had stood for 8 years. Our time was second fastest overall for the stage and only 5 seconds slower than the stage winner, a highly tuned WRX. Our 1977 VW Rabbit competes against other Subarus, Mitsubishis, Audis, Mazdas, Volvos, and other cars.
