www.janson.com The world's most famous vampire has been "undead" for over a century. The famous novel Dracula, written by Irish author Bram Stoker, was a mixture of reality, superstition, fearful fantasies and history. Stoker's role model for the novel was an actual Romanian Prince born in the 15th century: Vlad Tepes or "Vlad the Impaler," so named because of his favorite method of executing his enemies - the horrific medieval torture known as "impaling." And so "Vlad the Impaler" and the Transylvania vampire Count Dracula, became forevermore, one and the same. The image of the vampire has been seen in novels, films, plays, paintings, and even a new musical, Dance of Vampires, directed by Roman Polanski. This captivating new documentary travels to the heart of Transsylvania, in today's Romania, to uncover the historical truths behind the legend of Dracula. Today, vampire tourism in Romania is booming. A self-described vampire hunter, Paul Daian, believes that vampires lurk in the streets of today's Bucharest and can adopt various forms. A Viennese dermatologist, Christian Honigsmann, discusses his theory that porphyria, a widespread genetic illness in Transsylvania in those days, was behind many vampire superstitions, especially the idea of their fear of sunlight. And Princess Brianna Caradja, a descendant of Vlad Tepes' talks about her famous ancestor.

The video is a bit off sync. ---------- Dracula's life sucks. But yeah, I did this all on my microphone in my car after discovering the "flanger" effect and how it makes anyone sound like their in Castlevania. I might do more stuff like this or music related stuff because its much easier to make. My semester this time is much calmer. By the way! I would love to see my voicing animated better. I need lives. I need lives for the master! Doctor Jack Seward: What? What master? Renfield: The master will come, and he has promised to make me immortal! Doctor Jack Seward: How? Renfield: The blood is the life! The blood is the life!

Dracula's Lament from Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Dracula (1931) For More Info On Dracula, please read: robojapan.blogspot.com In 1927 a theatrical adaptation of Dracula written by Hamilton Deane and John L., Balderston became a huge hit on Broadway. This play would star the Hungarian born actor Bela Lugosi who didnt speak a word of English. Lugosi learned all his lines phonetically, which produced the famous speech pattern that Dracula (and most vampires) would become associated with. Bela Lugosi (Bela Ferenc Dezso Blasco) came to America in the 1920s to pursue an acting career. Even though the actor had starred in several small roles prior, he would always be remembered for portraying Dracula, both on stage and in numerous films. After Dracula became a huge hit the actor was offered the part of The Monster in Frankenstein, which he turned down. Boris Karloff would become famous for the part, and Lugosis short term as the King of Horror would end as quickly as it started. Lugosi would go on to play Dracula and other various vampires throughout his career. The actor managed to beat a drug addiction, but ended his career in low budget features such as the infamous Plan 9 From Outer Space which would be his last film. He passed away while it was still in production. Despite all of his stage and film roles the actor died in poverty. Carl Laemmle Jr. had a vision for a big screen adaptation of Dracula for Universal that would have been in the same league as The Hunchback of Notre Dame and The Phantom of the Opera. Laemmle ...

Scene from movie Dracula. Dracula (Frank L.) and Mina (Jan Francis).
Another spoof from the mind of Mel Brooks. This time he's out to poke fun at the Dracula myth. Basically, he took "Bram Stoker's Dracula," gave it a new cast and a new script and made a big joke out of it. The usual, rich English are attacked by Dracula (Leslie Nielsen) and Dr. Van Helsing (Mel Brooks) is brought in to save the day.

CBBC's Young Dracula Episode 1 When Your a Stranger Part 1 As some of you may know my Young Dracula vids disappeared a while ago. YouTube didn't take them down (long story) so I've decided to reupload them as there aren't many on and you guys really seem to want them back. I'll try to get one up a day (no promises though), starting with the first episode and working my way up to the new season 2 episodes. The Count and his family move to Britain from Transylvania to start a new life. In case you're wondering I took the title from a script of the episode on the BBC website which can be found here: www.bbc.co.uk Comment rate and enjoy! Young Dracula belongs to the BBC, I do not own it in any way, I am just distributing it to its fans until they release it on DVD. ; )
