Okay, I got that name from a guy named "Jimbo" at commercialsihate.com . They're actually called the Dr. Scholl's Custom Fit Orthotic Centers. But, here's the thing: even though this guy is wearing socks, I saw a guy a few days ago in his BARE FEET standing on this thing. DId it not occur to him that he could try it out the next time he was in the store, and make sure to wear socks that trip??? Gross! Seriously, man, if you see this, you don't know how many people have tried this before you or what kinds of things they may be incubating on their feet. Do yourself, your family and everyone around you a favor and WEAR SOCKS when you try out this device. If it doesn't specify this in the instructions, it sooooo should! BTW, I don't know the guy in this vid. He just happened to be there when I was walking by. On an unrelated note, maybe someone at youtube can tell me why it's automated tag suggestions include "weightlifting" and "physical exercise".

Saw this interactive information-/-promotional machine while shopping at a local department store, and thought I'd give it a try. What's going on in the vid: After stepping on it, there is a little pause while the machine shows you a generic pressure read-out, then it shows you YOUR pressure read-out, I play with this by rocking forwards and backwards to see how responsive it is, then you see the yellow ball & target, this is to calibrate the reading for both feet supporting your weight, then you lift up your right foot in order to get a reading for all your weight on that foot, then do the same thing as before but with your left foot lifted, it then uses these 3 readings to recommend the best Dr. Scholl's gel-sole insert for you. Pretty darn cool ! ps when I first took off my shoes and saw the computer responding to my movements; I had this feeling that I would start seeing arrows coming up from the bottom of the screen, LOL.
Tis is me usung Dr. Scholl's Freezeaway on a wart on my foot....sorry about the retardedness....

Dr. James Pruchniewski, MS, DPM, FACFAOM Dr. Jim was born in Buffalo, NY. He received his BS in Biology at Niagara University and an MS at Canisius College. After teaching science in public schools for 12 years, Dr. Jim moved to Chicago where he graduated from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 1986. He completed his residency in Tampa at the James Haley VA Medical Center. While mountain climbing in 1977, he was trapped in a blizzard and suffered third-degree frostbite. Fortunately, the US Olympic ski team was training at Lake Placid, where he was taken to the hospital. This experience convinced him to leave teaching and become a podiatrist. Are amputations worse than cancer? In this CLEARcast (diabeticfootonline.com Dr. Armstrong outlines the case that those working in the field of the diabetic foot and amputation prevention have failed to connect with both patients and policymakers on this critical issue. This takes on added importance with the rise of amputations and diabetic foot complications, worldwide. An attached figure, listed on the diabetic-foot.net website, assists in this discussion.
In this CLEARcast (diabeticfootonline.com Dr. Armstrong outlines SALSA's "Axis of Healing", making the point that wound healing should no longer be considered a "one product fits all" philosophy. Dividing the wound into temporal phases of "debridement", "promotion of granulation/regeneration" and "wound closure", different therapies are laid out both in the podcast and illustrated in the accompanying diagram.
