It is a remake of the record-breaking Telugu film Pokiri starring Mahesh Babu directed by Puri Jagannath. Prabhu Deva also directed the Tamil remake Pokkiri. Radhe (Salman Khan) is a hard-core gangster . A sharp-shooter with a sharp brain, he works for Gani Bhai (Prakash Raj), the dreaded Mafioso, on his own terms. Totally fearless, Radhe singlehandedly eliminates Gani Bhai's enemies, one by one - making more enemies in the process. The man is devoid of any principles; he is arrogant, ruthless and does not care about the emotions of other people. Radhe's astounded when young and pretty Jhanvi (Ayesha Takia) professes her affection for him. Inspector Talpade's (Mahesh Manjrekar) lustful eyes fall on Jhanvi. He doesn't know that Jhanvi has developed a soft spot for Radhe. Jhanvi is a very simple innocent and a naive girl and she believes that everything is good in the world and nothing is bad. After she meets Radhe she realizes that all her previous notions were wrong and life after that becomes a roller coaster ride for her. There is a transition in her character then. Salman Khan personally invites Ranbir Kapoor for a football match, which he has organised on August 15; family and several friends to attend the match. After news of Salman Khan bonding with Ranbir Kapoor at Mehboob Studio, Bandra, while they were shooting for Veer and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year, respectively, here comes the news that the two actors did far more than just have a casual chat over lunch. They planned to spend time together this Independence Day on Saturday. Taking time off from his hectic shoot schedules on August 15, Salman is looking forward to the chutti. He intends to spend the day with his gang of boys playing football. He invited Ranbir when they were chatting at Mehboob Studio on Sunday afternoon. Word has it that Salman is making sure that everything is planned perfectly for the match. He has already asked his younger brothers Arbaaz and Sohail to spread the word and they too are inviting their friends. As of now, joining the Khan brothers will be Ranbir, Dino Morea, Ashish Chaudhary, Vatsal Seth and music composers Sajid-Wajid. Many more actors and friends are expected to join the list. Ranbir, of course, was super-excited as he is an ardent football fan. While the venue of the match is yet not known, sources say that the boys will play at one of the Bandra grounds. Guess Salman wants to live it up this Independence Day.
