Kevin Rudd as Speaker? This was the proposal of Andrew Bolt on the ABC's Insiders on the morning after the election. Under the Constitution, the Speaker has a casting but not deliberative vote. In particular he would not be able to vote on a motion of no confidence. He suggests Tony Abbott, as Prime Minister in a minority government, propose Mr Rudd.

UK Independence Party MEP Nigel Farage speaks about his opponent in the Buckingham seat in the upcoming 2010 British General Election. Vote UKIP on May the 6th
BBC Look East News 13/4/10 Buckingham General Election Campaign 2010 UKIP Nigel Farage. TV Digital Switchover Sandy Heath.
The story of Failure of Elections in the National Level for this May Elections is a Big Story, so i decided to Make some of those scenarios. One, GMA Stays in Power, because there Was no Winner in the National Level of Elections, GMA gets blessed by the Supreme Court as "HOLD OVER PRESIDENT" simply because there is no winner. The Supreme Court does that because all of the Justices are GMA Appointees, and when it comes to the Public unrest, there are GMA's Generals under her skirt, just like Gen. Bangit. Two, Elections are succesful. GMA wins as Congresswoman of her District in Pampanga, She then becomes speaker of the House, then she together with her allies push for "CON-ASS" then we shift to Parliamentary form of Government. GMA get to become "Prime Minister of the Philippines" Wallah! Magic! Adios!
UK Independence party Nigel Farage is taking on the speaker in the upcoming General Election. The speaker is career politician John Bercow, although a conservative MP his wife is standing as a Labour candidate.
UKIP's Nigel Farage is the main front runner in House of Commons Speaker Bercow's constituency seat. Traditionally the seat of the Speaker of the House of Commons is not opposed in a general election, but as New Labour have thrown out the history and rule books for everything else, so too will Nigel Farage with his challenge of Bercow's seat. John Bercow is starting to get a bit worried, with old Conservative MP Lord Tebbit telling people they don't have to vote Conservative, ie. they don't have to vote for Bercow. This is one seat that the Conservatives WILL loose at the general election, and parliament will be better off for Nigel Farage being in the HoC. Recorded from BBC's The Politics Show, 07 March 2010.
The Speaker of the National Assembly Kenneth Marende has officially issued writs declaring the Matuga parliamentary seat vacant. The announcement has therefore set in motion a process that will see the constituency hold a by election within the next 90 days. The High Court sitting in Mombasa had nullified Mwakwere's election three weeks ago but he had continued discharging his duties as Minister for Transport because the Speaker had not declared the seat vacant
In an interview with the House of Commons Speaker John Bercow, he says that local councils should be counting the results of the general election ballots straight away after the ballot closes, and not wait until morning as many local councils want, this will prevent much election fraud. We all know that places that have counts in the morning after the vote have been cast, have results that are not as expected, as the government has a chance to change the votes cast. (Check out the many clips on Ireland and their EUSSR Lisbon Treason Treaty vote as one example). The local councils claim that having a delayed count will save taxpayers money, when in reality all they want is to aid in electoral fraud to keep New Labour in power. Recorded from The Daily Politics, 22 January 2010.

HARAPAN: 2010 PRESIDENTIAL FORUM - GORDON, NOYNOY, TEODORO, JC, ERAP, BRO EDDIE, NICK PERLAS PART 3 www.abs-cbnnews.com 4 bets shine in ANC's Harapan: analysts -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- by Kristine Servando, abs-cbnNEWS.com/Newsbreak | 12/03/2009 3:16 AM Printer-friendly version | Send to friend | Share your views MANILA - Four presidential candidates gave strong performances at ANC's "Harapan: The Presidential Forum" on Wednesday, according to several political and media analysts. Among the experts' favorites were Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino Jr., Sen. Richard "Dick" Gordon, former Defense Sec. Gilberto "Gibo" Teodoro Jr., and former President Joseph Ejercito Estrada. Imaging expert Emily Abrera said Aquino, Teodoro, and Gordon made the most sense and "didn't waffle" when they answered questions on morality, as well as their views on political dynasties, population control, insurgency, and President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's bid for a congressional seat. Abrera said the candidates also appeared cool and collected, probably because they had prepared well for the forum. "Regardless of the quality of their responses, Noynoy, Gibo, Gordon, and even Estrada - as witty as his answers were-- directly answered the questions," said polling firm Pulse Asia President Ronald D. Holmes. The forum, held a day after the deadline of filing for certificates of candidacy, was held in partnership with Manila Bulletin, the Philippine ...

First City Council Debate among Candidates for Democratic Primary in the 3rd District Race. Debate facility owned and operated by: New York University (19 West 4th Street). www.huffingtonpost.com www.cityhallnews.com bloombergwatch.com www.christinequinn.com An over-flow crowd formed outside one of NYU's buildings. Because the venue was so small, and only 5 press passes were issued to cover the re-election of the Speaker of the City Council (this, in a city of over 8 million people), there were more interested people who wanted to get in -- but who were turned away by NYU. At least 2 journalists with media credentials, at least one other freelance reporter, and a long line of undecided voters of Hells Kitchen, Chelsea, and the West Village looked on in complete helplessness as NYU officials turned them away. This is NOT what democracy looks like ! After several conversations, candidate for NYC Public Advocate Norman Siegel was able to persuade and influence NYU officials to allow a handicapped man in a wheelchair access to attend the debate. But the 3 other reporters, and the rest of the voters, were turned away. It took the persuasive skills of Mr. Siegel and the video recording by several citizen reporters for NYU to make room for the handicapped man. In essence, you need on your side a mob with at least one brilliant legal mind to change the minds of closed minded public institutions.
