Water itself can be electrolysed, but only to a small extent. To tap water, I've added some household table salt to act as a initiator and to speed up the electrolysis process of water. The cathode here is the top one. It effervesced more than what you see at the anode. The gas given off is hydrogen , at the cathode, while oxygen is given off at the anode. It takes 2 moles of Hydrogen is given off while only 1 mole oxygen is out. Hence there are fewer O2 bubbles.

This is a demonstration of the explosive gas coming off of tap water called HHO or browns gas. Its the same gas from the cell we put on the gm vauxhall corsa to increase its mpg from 43 to 67 mpg. We are working on a bigger better one of course.

This is a Super Macro video of a water drop held in place by WATER TENSION. This is Stainless Steel Wool super fine, half the diameter of a human hair. The Monster Alligator jump clamps used to discharge the current into the wool fibers and water are the very small electrical board testing type. The shaky lead portion in realtime was a result of holding 2 hairs in a drop of water while not blocking the camera view. This video incorporates Super Macro, 300 FPS high speed slow motion and HD.

This is a simple spiral design oxyhydrogen generator, utilizing a 6 inch long 5/8 diameter copper tube, with a spiral of stainless steel wire wrapped around. I used three AC to DC converters one 9 volts@210 milliamp, the other two are the same each 4.5 volts@350 milliamps, these are wired series circuit which should be 18 volts@760 milliamps, but produces 23 volts according to my meter which might be slightly off, I also used plain tap water. The system was running for several minutes prior to video, when I put the lighter to the top the exploding hydrogen scared my friend and cat as can be heard, lol it was quite loud. Several of these spiral cells could be hooked together with a better different source of electricity, especially PWM pulse width modulated or even cold electricity, with several spiral cells running I feel it would be possible to power any internal combustion engine with no harmful emissions, just water. Also ocean water should and can be used since it's the most abundant and wouldn't strain our already shrinking fresh water supply, but with rain water and grey water readily available, and the miles to ounces of water ratios that can be achieved with cars, this is hardly a concern. This test was done with tap water as electrolyte and about 260Volts at 0.4Amps. I'm currently working on a smaller version of this that will be able to function as a sparkplug to run an internal combustion engine. The effect is spectacular indeed.

We started with the Joe Cell concept and modified it for Electrolysis. The 4 parts of this video show you the inner works of the gas production. You will see, from a birds eye view, the gas being produced in a solid stainless steel container; one that can be put under a strong vaccum. At startup, notice that the gas is being produced in the center of the cell. It then starts producing in adjacent tubes as current moves towards the positive outer tube. For this to happen, your tubes need to be properly aligned North and South. That is, the tops of each tube must be magnetic North, and the bottoms must be magnetic South (the tubes contain "some" magnetism. Think of the tube as a magnet. If your alignment is off on a tube, there will be little to no gas production around that tube. You can test your tubes for N & S by putting a needle on a thread and magnetizing the tip of the needle (N or S). Hang the thread over the tube, just barely clearing the surface, and rock each end of the tube under the needle. It will start to swing as you rock. One end will swing more than the other. Mark them accordingly and put your tubes together with the like marks facing the same direction. It works. Part 2 ...
The same experiment as my earlier magnet electrolysis videos but this time I used both vineger and salt. I mixed the two together.
The samething as my other magnet electrolysis video, but this time I used vineger instead of water with salt disolved in it. The vinegar I bought has 5% acetic acid. The same spining bubble formations appear but this time no ugly by-products are created.
A simple video showing how an ordinary magnet affects electricity flowing in water. "Crux_fwc" is involved in a project with the H2earth Institute to replicate the work of the late Stanley Meyer, who ran vehicles on water. Crux_fwc's electrolysis cell is making hydrogen gas in distilled water, with no electrolyte. Conventional electrolysis, which, by definition, relies on a conductive medium, says that is impossible. The cell in this video is 4 inches tall with outer tube diameter of 0.75 inches and inner tube diameter of 0.5 inches; running on 96 volts x 3.3 amps = 316 watts at 240Hz; with iron core bifilar chokes. They did not use a system like the author here in this video, I'm quite sure had they followed this authors design their results would have been vastly different.
