This is a brief overview of the Elon University Winter Term trip to Kerala, India. During our time there we taught hands on science projects to secondary school students and had some time to explore and visit well known places. After the trip I went up to Pune and Mumbai with a few other students to visit potential partners for Periclean Scholars 2012 that focus on rural health care. Thanks to Dr. Arcaro for letting me use this camera. The music in this clip is from 3 Idiots, a movie we saw in theaters while we were there.
Elon University students, faculty and staff formed a human chain to move the first book across campus from the former mcewen Library building to the new Carol Grotnes Belk Library in January 2000. The book was started on its journey by President Emeritus J. Earl Danieley and was received at the front door of Belk Library by President Leo M. Lambert. The book was "Elon College: Its History and Tradition," by Durwood T. Stokes.

The class of 2013 moved to campus on Friday, August 28, 2009. With the help of 95 Orientation Leaders and 80 representatives from reslife, nearly 1300 freshmen dragged their parents, bedspreads, boxes and books to Elons campus. The event, held April 8, 2009 in Elon's Koury Business Center, inaugurated a Fireside Chat series sponsored by the presidents offices along with African/African-American studies, Phi Beta Kappa faculty and staff, and womens and gender studies.
