It is amazing how few people notice what is going on in a major part of their environment! This film was made in Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand in April-May 2010, in order to draw people's attention to what is going on in their skies. A series of interviews with locals is presented to show how oblivious the majority of people are to what is going on, followed by an interview with 90-year-old Betty Hooper, a founding member of Grey Power in the region, who is well aware of the issue. Hooper, who has seen chemtrails both in New Zealand and overseas, made the suggestion that a chemtrails watch group be started in the region, hence the Northland New Zealand Chemtrails Watch group website at chemtrailsnorthnz.wordpress.com The following is from an article written earlier in the year, about Whangarei. Since this was written, the rainfall has been reasonable and frequent: The smell of chemicals, the presence of chemtrails, aerosol material seen being sprayed from aircraft, distinctive wave patterns in clouds, man-made clouds, persistently cloudy skies without rain, plus the advent of strangely light rain, now seem to be the norm in Whangarei, while last year, they were virtually unknown to the region. Yet in spite of this drastic change to the environment, the drought and seemingly obvious evidence of weather manipulation, many still find it hard to believe that this form of secret warfare could be in play. If it not on TV, then they dont believe it could be happening ...
NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE School of Computing CSSEMINAR TITLE : "What can we learn from software engineering and why?" SPEAKER : Prof. Mehdi Jazayeri University of Lugano Switzerland TIME : April 23, 2010, 10:00am - 12:00pm, Fri VENUE : LT34, SoC1, Level 3 School of Computing, National University of Singapore Chaired by Dr Jarzabek, Stanislaw (stan@comp.nus.edu.sg) ABSTRACT: Software is critical to the working of our modern society. Software is pervasive, it works, it is invisible, it just seems to run things well and stay out of the way. This is not by accident. Over time, software engineers have developed techniques for creating functioning software that is efficient and dependable. Software is so smoothly woven into our machines and services that despite its pervasiveness, most people do not even realize its presence in the devices and services they use. Software engineering is about understanding problems and implementing solutions that will work now and forever, economically, reliably, and efficiently. Software engineers have developed an approach and a way of thinking to tackle problems and look for near-perfect solutions. Unfortunately, this attitude does not make them popular with managers, who would prefer a less perfect solution that is delivered on time and at less cost. The approach does not make them popular with other computer scientists (eg computational scientists) who just want to get the software running and get the results out, never mind ...
Transportation is crucial to the environment. Employees at Alstom explain how the groups green strategy benefits both the customer and the planet, by making trains that are almost entirely recyclable. Alstoms eco-engineering results in lower levels of noise pollution, fuel and energy consumption and the development of high speed and wireless transport systems. These demonstrate Alstoms commitment to the environment through sustainable mobility.

The Engineering Virality Bootcamp was part of the Stanford GSB marketing course - the Power of Social Technology (Dr. Jennifer Aaker), orchestrated by Julio Vasconcellos. A panel of experts, including Dave McClure, Andy Smith, Jeff Clavier, Ed Baker, Matt Wyndowe, Mark Hedrickson and Ben Katz, discussed how to engineer virality. The bootcamp is split into two approaches: left brain (quantitative and analytical) and right brain (more holistic and creative, relying on creating buzz-worthy messages that can be spread via word-of-mouth). In the bootcamp, the speakers discuss how to execute both kinds of tactics, and how both can be integrated to yield optimal results.

[Approach to Problems in Measurement Engineering From an Inverse Problem ViewpointïŒHonda's Group] Measurement is the basis of science, so much so that its been said, Theres no science without measurement. This is because measurement gives science objectivity. The Honda Group is studying measurement from various perspectives, such as: What should we measure? And how should we measure it? Q.This is a measuring instrument with a simple mechanism, where a spring extends when you exert a force on it. Its for measuring mass. The direct problem is to investigate how the springs extension depends on the force. To do a measurement, we want to measure how big the force is when an unknown force is applied. So we understand the direct problem: that the spring stretches this much when the original force is applied. Then, conversely, if we measure how much the spring stretches when an unknown force is applied, we can determine how much force was applied. Determining how much force was applied is called the inverse problem. Determining an unknown force is an inverse problem. By studying such inverse problems, its possible to obtain new ways of measuring data. And those results can lead to new developments. Every day, the Honda Group searches for ways to measure unknown quantities. QA typical example of an inverse problem arises in X-ray CT. Let me explain an example from our research where we use a similar approach to X-ray CT. This is Process Tomography, or fluid flow tomography ...
www.electronicthinking.com We're just getting started with the Applied Guide to Electrical Engineering and it is already shaping up to be quite a valuable way to learn electronics. Industrial engineer is a branch of engineering that concerns with the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, material and process. It also deals with designing new prototypes to help save money and make the prototype better. Industrial engineering draws upon the principles and methods of engineering analysis and synthesis, as well as mathematical, physical and social sciences together with the principles and methods of engineering analysis and design to specify, predict and evaluate the results to be obtained from such systems. In lean manufacturing systems, Industrial engineers work to eliminate wastes of time, money, materials, energy, and other resources. The total number of engineers employed in the US in 2006 was roughly 1.5 million. Of these, 201000 were industrial engineers (13.3%), the third most popular engineering specialty. The average starting salaries being $55067 with a bachelor's degree, $64759 with a master's degree, and $77364 with a doctorate degree.
