Letters to Rosy www.letterstorosy.com is a story told in epistolary style using the exchange of letters between two elderly lady friends to uncover a compelling story of romance, mystery, crime and adventure and concluding with a surprise ending no reader would ever figure out in advance. It is a gripping novel of twists and turns leaving the reader in suspense about the many events surrounding its characters the disappearance of Sasha, the insanity of Marsha, Kens destructive nature, and Mendys abduction and rape while husband Trevor is having an affair with a red-headed beauty. Reviewer Debra Gaynor found Letters to Rosy to be a gripping novel. I read it in one sitting. I had to find the answers to the many questions . Letters To Rosy is uniquely written in the form of epistolary. Bartlett took what seemed to be random threads and wove them together into a delightful mystery. Reviewer Frani Brandt enjoyed reading the letters of endearment between two childhood friends now in the twilight times of their lives and the interjection of humor and spunkiness in those "old gals" was refreshing even through times of aging and sickness. Abraham "Bram" Stoker (8th November 1847 - 20th April 1912) was an Irish novelist and short story writer, best known today for his 1897 Gothic novel Dracula. During his lifetime, he was better known as the personal assistant of actor Henry Irving and business manager of the Lyceum Theatre in London, which Irving owned. While working as manager for actor Henry Irving, and as secretary and director of London's Lyceum Theatre, he began writing novels beginning with The Snake's Pass in 1890 and Dracula in 1897. During this period, Stoker was also part of the literary staff of the London Telegraph newspaper and wrote other works of fiction, including the horror novels The Lady of the Shroud (1909) and The Lair of the White Worm (1911). In 1906, after Irving's death, he published his life of Irving, which proved very successful, and managed productions at the Prince of Wales Theatre. Before writing Dracula, Stoker spent several years researching European folklore and mythological stories of vampires. Dracula is an epistolary novel, written as a collection of realistic, but completely fictional, diary entries, telegrams, letters, ship's logs, and newspaper clippings, all of which added a level of detailed realism to his story, a skill he developed as a newspaper writer. At the time of its publication, it was considered a "straightforward horror novel" based on imaginary creations of supernatural life. "It gave form to a universal fantasy . . . and became a part of popular culture."

Fundamentally Sound performs an original art song at their 4th annual Spring Show entitled "FS on Safari" "Die Leiden des jungen Werthers" is an original German text setting of an excerpt from Goethe's famous epistolary novel of the same name, published in 1774. Solo: Tyler Mitchell Music: Danny Mulligan Text: Johann Wolfgang von Goethe The following is an English translation of the text: "I beg of you look I am done for. I cannot endure it a moment longer. Today I was with her She was sitting she was playing the piano different pieces, and with so much expression with so much with so much. Tears rushed to my eyes. I leaned forward and suddenly could see nothing but Lottes wedding ring, and my tears flowed. And all of a sudden, as if by chance, she began to play that old, heavenly sweet melody, and I was consoled. And my soul was filled with the recollection of things past, of other times when I had listened to the song, the dark intervals, the grief, the hopes dashed, and then I started to pace the room, up and down, my heart stifled with the pressure of these memories. 'For Gods sake,' I said, turning on her with a vehemence I could not control, 'for Gods sake, stop!' I tore myself away and dear God, thou seest my misery. Put an end to it, I beseech Thee! Heres a virtual movie of the celebrated novelist and poet William Makepeace Thackeray reading his humorous little poem "Sorrows of Werther.a satirical poem by written in response to the enormous success of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's novel The Sorrows of Young Werther.. The Sorrows of Young Werther (Die Leiden des jungen Werthers) is an epistolary and loosely autobiographical novel by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, first published in 1774; a revised edition of the novel was published in 1787. Werther was an important novel of the Sturm und Drang period in German literature, and it also influenced the later Romantic literary movement. The book made Goethe one of the first true international literary celebrities. In his own time Thackeray was regarded as the only possible rival to Dickens. His pictures of contemporary life were obviously real and were accepted as such by the middle classes. A great professional, he provided novels, stories, essays, and verses for his audience, and he toured as a nationally known lecturer. He wrote to be read aloud in the long Victorian family evenings, and his prose has the lucidity, spontaneity, and pace of good reading material. Throughout his works, Thackeray analyzed and deplored snobbery and frequently gave his opinions on human behaviour and the shortcomings of society, though usually prompted by his narrative to do so. He examined such subjects as hypocrisy, secret emotions, the sorrows sometimes attendant on love, remembrance of ...
