Eric Douglas (June 21, 1958 – July 6, 2004) was an American actor.
<p>He was born Eric Anthony Douglas in Los Angeles, California, the youngest son of actor Kirk Douglas and Belgian mother Anne Buydens. His half-brother is Michael Douglas. Unlike his more-famous Academy Award-winning relatives, Eric Douglas' most notable movie was the 1986 comedy The Golden Child, which starred Eddie Murphy. In 1991, he also notably appeared with his father in "Yellow", the Season 3 finale of the television series Tales from the Crypt as a young officer in World War I brought up on charges of cowardice by his commanding general, who is also his father. Douglas battled with drug and alcohol problems for years, and had numerous brushes with the law.
<p>Eric studied at Claremont College, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and the London Academy of Dramatic Arts. Eric was regarded as very intelligent by his father, Kirk Douglas, according to the book, The Ragman's Son.
