Etta Place-In Reverie, a stop motion, HDR photography, miniaturized short story by Brian Chasalow. The story was designed as a simple study of a single stream of consciousness over a long period of time- 4 months in 2009 to complete. As the grass is dying by the end of the video, the season was turning from summer to fall. Thousands of images were shot, HDR-processed, timed, hand-cut, and/or set on fire. The backyard was created to tiny scale by Max Goodman, a Brooklyn metalsmith. Bushes were made out of grape stems, and a mirror was cut with a jeweler's saw from the bottom of a cookie tin. The song was recorded in a tiny practice space, and the kick drum was literally a cardboard box - quite fitting it would seem, then, that their entire world would be made out of cardboard.
