cli.gs Season 7, Episode 11 Aired: 12/13/2009 Ward Family A woman who has a degenerative muscle disease and runs a charitable operation for children in her neighborhood has her home rebuilt and made wheelchair accessible by Ty and his team. Mary J. Blige is the celebrity volunteer.
Trina, 44, met her husband David while he was serving with the United States Army Special Forces in Fort Bragg and it was love at first sight. After his discharge, David became a Clarksville police officer. In 2002, David and his partner were on-duty when their police car was violently struck by a truck. The car spun out of control, hit a guardrail, caught fire, and killed both David and his partner almost instantly. Overwhelmed with grief, Trina turned to a group called Concerns of Police Survivors, Inc. (COPS), which helps the surviving family members of officers killed in the line of duty. Inspired by the help she received from COPS, Trina devoted all of her free time to the organization and became its President in 2003. The time that Trina dedicates to COPS is essentially a full-time job, on top of the regular job she works to support her three daughters: Leyla, 17, Deidie, 13, and Alethea, 11. Trina has spent more than $20000 to try to fix the mounting repairs to her small home, but the structural problems caused by termites and water damage remain.

A family in El Paso is spending the week in the Bahamas. All the while, their house is being demolished and rebuilt from the ground up. Maria Ruiz and her family stopped construction on their home 12 years ago, leaving it almost entirely unfinished. They turned their efforts toward feeding poor families in Juarez, Mexico and that is exactly why the design team of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is stepping in and taking over. The Ruiz home has seen better days. It has no heat and extensive water damage just to name a few of the problems. Nevertheless, Maria Ruiz and her family spend their funds purchasing food and clothes for those in Juarez. In order to build them a new house, though, a lot of equipment must be brought in. As for the new house...those plans are kept confidential. You'll just have to wait until March 15th to see the new house when it airs on ABC at 7pm Central Time.
