An other version of "Brother's Vengeance". In particular, the version that my final opponent in the film was making. Hence he never finished it I suggested editing it for him. Without changing too much. Since he agreed, I went ahead and re-edited the film into this final product. No need wondering what the movie is about, the story is mentioned in the previous version. PS: some people will probably people wonder why the pivotal moments in both versions of the film differ. Simple explanation, our visions and ideas of the movie were obviously (and unintentionally)different. We used different shots than one other, to the point where the scenes completely changed. I wasn't willing to change that, cause I wanted it to be the version my mate did, and not me. Mackenzie" slideshow Joseph MacKenzie wrote the haunting lament after the death of his wife, Christine, and in memory of his great-grandfather, Charles Stuart MacKenzie, a sergeant in the Seaforth Highlanders, who along with hundreds of his brothers-in-arms from the Elgin-Rothes area in Moray, Scotland went to fight in the Great War. Sergeant MacKenzie was bayoneted to death at the age of 35, while defending one of his badly injured fellow soldiers in the hand-to-hand fighting of the trenches. The track was then included in his band Clann An Drumma's album Tried and True. While working on the film We Were Soldiers, director Randall Wallace, received a CD of the album and was haunted by the emotion and spirit of reverence captured in Sgt. MacKenzie. He arranged for Joe and band mate Donnie MacNeil, who played the pipes, to re-record Sgt. MacKenzie with the backing of an 80-piece orchestra and the United States Military Academy Choir at the famous Abbey Road Studios in London. After everyone who left positive and well appreciated comments on my first animation on the subject on foliage that I made in year ten, I decided to use the same idea of my graphics exam (even though It was a nightmare creating the first one). This time, I only had SEVEN HOURS to create this animation (which I still had to draw all the frames, scan each one and turn it into a movie document). I really wish I had as much time as I had for my first one to see if I had improved, but this was the only chance I had to do this in a college course. I would like to also like to warn people to not try this, as it is known as exam suicide. I animate in my sleep, and yet it was shear luck that I completed this in time. If you run out of time and only animate half a video, you will only be left with frames, which you probably could only get away with if you called it a flipbook. Plus animating in a time limit is way too much pressure (especially if you have Benny "a mate in graphics" reminding me that an animation would take for ever "over and over again" and an animation was a stupid idea, when everyone else was just doing little CD cases and posters on Photoshop). This short animation is a representation of how we are replaced in this world and we are forgotten when we are replaced or die (dark I know but I was not a happy chap at the time). Who is the "Fisherman?" The year: 1950 The place: San Francisco The movie: DOA, a film noir classic. The director: Rupolph Mate This is the scene where Edmond O'Brien gets randomly poisoned by a mysterious stranger at the bar. The band is unidentified. A low budget independent production. Most films of this era utilized actors "pretending" to play music. No microphones present and a very noisy crowd, so it's unlikely the music is "live." Can anyone identify the tenor player, known here as "The Fisherman?" The trumpeter? The pianist? The drummer? But what's really interesting here is how this is shot and edited. It presents the music in an exciting way, with the audience going "wild," complete with "hip" talk.

SONG INSPIRATION: My friend Paul moved on from this earthly plane unexpectedly at age 45. His first daughter was born six months later. I put myself in her shoes and wrote this song. Paul made everyone feel like the most important person in the world. His laugh made your spine sparkle; suddenly you stood up straighter. With his brother and soul mate, he made a hilarious film called "The Real Old Testament" -- a cross between the Old Testament and "The Real World" -- which is full of the good-willed, mischievous ebullience that the brothers were born with. Watch it. I guarantee you will laugh out loud. Paul is a huge inspiration to everyone he knew. At the memorial service, packed with literally hundreds of people, someone said that half of the people in the room would call Paul their best friend. That blew my mind, especially because it's true. Award-winning animated short by Greg Kihlström and Ben Good about a very unique hotel building owned by the brothers Cosmas. No tenant of the building has ever had to pay a dime in rent, so the brothers were called 'Saints.' Now, when one of the brothers Cosmas turns up missing, a very unusual request has been made of the tenants. The short has been featured in several festivals across the US and was named "Best Animated Film" at the Georgetown Film Festival in Washington, DC. The animation and post-production was done by Carousel30 and Suburban Sprawl Studios.
