Much like similar novels Brave New World and 1984, it features a strong, suppressive government, and a general population which has given up most of its "truths" for a more convenient, entertaining culture. Bradbury is going for much more than just "burning books is bad" here, though, which is why it has become such a classic. He also questions man's ability to do what is right for himself, the censorship of anything, and whether or not we, like the phenix, can rise again from our ashes and make our world beautiful like it once was.

Based on the book Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag is a fireman that burns books who then discovers he has feelings in a Distopian world after meeting a mysterious girl.

We got Guy Montag burning down homes and books, firefighters like those in this day would be crooks. Books are banned and burned upon discovery; the government does not want the citizens to enrich their vocabulary. We got Clarisse McClellan introduced as a Bohemian girl, she isn't a buff man she doesn't do any curls. She's the type of girl that goes and dazes at clouds, as the day fades away no one making a sound. Her thoughts upon the world were so different and unique, like seeing six-foot pigeons on Sesame Street. As Montag kept meeting her, he felt dissatisfied contemplating thoughts trying to figure wrong from right. He steals and hides a book from a burning house, being sneakier than a tranquil quiet mouse. Montag's wife overdosed on some sleeping pills used a plumber instead of medics to save her from the kill. Satirizing the growing stupidity of the humans, the people's light bulb weaker than even two lumens. Montag learns that he needs a brilliant teacher, who can help ...
