Heres the first 10 minutes of a slideshow I put together from photos I took of Rico's arrival @ MCAS Miramar Air Station. (28:00 long) City streets and freeways were closed off for the motorcade, It was a life changing experience for me. The Arrival was fit for a president. It was one of the biggest funerals San Diego Police Dept had ever put together. Rico Deserved nothing less. He was a good friend to us all and was taken way too early from us. This was the least I could do for him and his family. Fallen Soldier escorted and flown home to FLA on American Airlines. Honorably greeted by Army personnel, local police, family, and fire department - who showed their respect by showering the plane with 4 powerful streams of water from fire trucks on both sides. Phil and his Texas Fallen Soldiers Project paints the images of the men and women from Texas that have died overseas, and delivers the paintings to their families - free of charge. This story profiles the artist, as well as his subject, Master Sgt. Robert Horrigan. We interviewed Robert's twin brother John, and were there to catch the surprise delivery of the portrait. *CORRECTION: The second to last line of the poem should read "So dawn goes down to day."

This was made in memory of all those lost in war both past and present. I hope this video touches everyone who has lost someone in their lives. A week ago Monday Spokane lost a solider in Iraq when five soldiers were killed in an IED strike during a convoy mission in Mosul, Iraq. On Tuesday one of those soldiers, Sgt. James Craig, came home to Spokane. KXLY4's Dave Erickson reports.

I was sent to Toccoa Georgia to shoot the body of a fallen soldier coming home. I left the airport ahead of the convoy. Driving the 15 or so miles to the soldiers hometown, I saw hundreds of people lining the roads. Here is his story and this is just a portion of what I saw. Pfc. Ryen King, 19, was one of nine soldiers in the 82nd Airborne killed in a suicide bomber attack in Iraq. He was the second fatality from Franklin County's class of 2005 in the last six months. On Nov. 13, Pfc. Daniel Allman, 20, was killed when his Humvee was hit by a roadside bomb in Baghdad. His family wishes to have people standing along the street waving flags as Ryen's body comes home for his final rest.

Chris Mason was ambushed and killed in Iraq in November 2006 by Al-Qaeda terrorist while he was moving into position to provide fire support for his fellow paratroopers. Chris was an amazing soldier, son, brother and friend. Chris' dad, Garland Mason asked me (Joe Monto) if I would write a song for Chris. I didn't have to think about it - the answer was an immediate YES. Not only did I want to write a song about Chris, I wanted to have it professionally recorded. I contacted my good friend and Seattle producer, Brandon Bee. Although I did not personally know Chris, I feel as if God has connected our hearts together for this purpose. We started recording yesterday. Today was Day 2. Garland Mason gets credit for helping with the incredible lyrics. This song will soon be released!! Keep checking back. This July, Sean Hannity is putting together a concert series called Summer "Freedom" tour with Lee Ann Rimes and other artists and all proceeds go to the children of the incredible Military men and women.
