When Ayesh Takia married her husband, Farhan Azmi, the occasion was low key event in South Mumbai and the cost rolled up to Rs. 1 crore. But marrying the son of a politician, saw politicians and tinsel town rubbing shoulders. The latest marriage, Esha Koppikar and Timmy Narang, are slotted at number four. Their wedding was low key too which summed up a cost of Rs. 1 crore. The wedding that made headlines was Amrita Aroras wedding. The headlines were not about the extravagant wedding but the two high profile guests, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchans wedding may have all the glamour but every accept of the wedding broke headlines. At number one, we have the newly wedded, Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. The wedding is estimated at Rs. 5 crores and the brides jewelry is estimated to be worth 3 crores.
Is it a coincidence that Bollywood actresses prefer Businessman? As we take a look at the recent weddings in B-town, there is a trend of actresses marrying businessmen. In February 2009, Ayesha Takia tied the knot with restaurateur Farhan Azmi while, Amrita Arora got married to Hyderbadi Businessman Shakaeel Ladhak. Wanted is a full-on masala entertainer, she smiles. But it is not a mindless film. It has a nice engrossing story line and I can tell you people are going to love it. He will never do that. I find that truly admirable. At this point Ayesha is doing just one other film, that is Revathy Vermas Aap Ke Liye Hum with Jaya Bachchan and Raveena Tandon. However, shes definitely not giving up the arc lights. Im being choosier about what I sign now, she says.
