My knowledge of Sengoku, Dream or any Japanese MMA is not up to par but after watching this event I will start my studying. I've always been a fan of the UFC, but for some reason never gave the fights over in Japan a chance. Sure I watched a few Fedor and Wanderlei fights from pride but that was it. After tonight, I will do more research on Dream and Sengoku along with the fighters, so I apologize for my lack of knowledge with some of these fighters. This match (and the fact that the fan's got to pick the rules of this contest UFC or PRIDE) is why this show is called Ultimate Pride. Well the MMA fans around the world want to see this match and since Brock has become the face of UFC and Fedor has been the face of Pride the fans of this channel got to pick the rules for their encounter. At UFC 100 Dana White shocked the MMA world when he announced that the winner of Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir would fight the former Pride & current WAMMA Heavy Champion Fedor Emelianenko for the UFC Heavy Weight title. The news didn't seem to effect Lesnar as he quickly dispatched Mir in just 2 minutes of the first round. Tonight for the first time in the octagon Fedor Emelianenko takes on Brock Lesnar.
