We describe the location and functions of organs/arteries/nerves in the circulatory system of a fetal pig. These include: the heart, vena cavas, right & left atrium, right & left ventricles, pulmonary artery and vein, corotic artery, and spleen.
We explain the functions of organs in the digestive system. They include: the esophagus, the lower esophageal sphincter, the stomach, the pyloric sphincter, the liver, the gallbladder, the pancreas, the small intestine, and the large intestine.
The locations of all the organs in the Abdominal Cavity and externally visible parts of the female reproductive/excretory system are shown.
The functions of the organs in the Chest Cavity are discussed. The Pericardium is part of the Circulatory system, NOT the Respiratory system.
Circulation through the heart is explained. This includes both Systemic and Pulmonary Circulation. We do not talk about specific structures unique to the fetal heart.
