We're discussing books that haunt us, and for me that means FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC by VC Andrews. *flails* I also get a little Twin Peaks-y. Apologies in advance. gretchenmcneil.blogspot.com

A little suite composed of three tracks - FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC, SLEEPING WITCH & THE VCA WALTZ - from Christopher Young's score for the film FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC (1987), starring Louise Fletcher. Once again it lightens up Young's capability of melting suspense and thrill and darkness into sound, a talent which he showed in HELLRAISER and the recent DRAG ME TO HELL - among many others - and what makes him the leading horror score composer in Hollywood (at least in my ears and eyes). Underlaid with pics found online. No copyright infringement intended, of course. Enjoy! :o)
I made a slideshow of my favorite character from Flowers in the Attic, Cathy! She's pretty!

This is Sleeping Witch. Which is track nine on the Flowers in the Attic soundtrack. Composed by Christopher Young, for anyone who doesn't know. I try not to get symbolic with the pictures that I put with the songs but this one I just had to put with Sleeping Witch. It's a painting by the Name of Bufoon by the wonderfully talented Michael Hussar. To me it screams ' the grandmother' and this song has always been about the grandmother to me. If you'd like to see more then follow the link. www.michaelhussar.com But if you google(image) him you'll find some stuff not featured.
This is track 11 of the Flowers in the Attic soundtrack. Composed, of course, by Christopher Young. Goes by the name of God Sees Everything.
This is One Flower Dies. Track 8 and one of my favourites on the Flowers in the Attic soundtrack. Which is, of course, composed by Christopher Young. So none of it's mine.
This is Goodbye, Daddy. Which is track 7 of the Flowers in the Attic soundtrack. Composed by Christopher Young. The photo is number six in a series of Venetian. Which is a doll made by Marina Bychkova. She's an artist and dolls are her thing. She has made some very beautiful pieces. If you'd like to see more then follow this link to the Porcelain Dolls gallery index. www.enchanteddoll.com
This is track 1 of the Flowers in the Attic soundtrack, it goes by the same name. The Flowers in the Attic soundtrack is composed by Cristopher Young and recorded about the time when I was nothing but a gleam in my fathers eye. Needless to say none of it's mine.

Movie: Flowers in the Attic Baseaded on the novel by VC Andrews EUA/1987 Director: Jeffrey Bloom
Exploring Life - Flowers In The Attic
When I was about 11 or 12, me and my sister (two years younger) stumbled upon an old 80s movie at the MGM channel. The movie was called Flowers in the Attic. By the time the movie reached its end, I was stunned and amazed. This was true shocker. How can any parent do such a thing to its brood? For the rest of the day, because of the movie, I couldnt see my mother or my father in the same loving eye as I did before because I was doubtful. I didnt hold any kind of trust to them. What if my mother was actually, behind her sugary and gentle surface, as evil as the woman named Corrine in the movie? Hopefully, this lasted for only one day and the next day I was healed from those thoughts of distrust and mistrust. Flowers in the Attic, until this day, has been one my favorite shocker movies. I read on the Internet that many, many people hated the movie because it wasnt at all like the book it was based upon. I said to my self That movie was bad? How can this be? Incidentally, I discovered one of my aunts had copies of Flowers in the Attic and If There Be Thorns. Borrowing it from her, I read it and indeed, I found the book more amusing than the movie (but still I loved the movie). Both book and film adaptation are now some of my favorites out of my 15 years of age, and now that I heard Andrew Neiderman has written the screenplay for a second and more faithful- adaptation and is waiting for the green light of MGM, I couldnt be more exited! In the meantime, I decided to make a FAN ...

I appreciate people emailing me, telling me how much they love the music on the soundtrack, and that they want to purchase a copy, but PLEASE! Why are people flaking out at the last minute? You email me, saying "yes, I'd like a copy", but then I stop hearing from you. Either you want it or you don't, so please don't email me if you're gonna flake out. It saves us all time.

www.diamond-riches.com This is a beautiful soundtrack, every track is pleasing to the ear. That's why I decided to post a couple tracks up here in conjunction with the movie I posted a while back. I just checked out Amazon.com, and was shocked! The seller is offering their cd for $149!! It's long been out of print, so the price keeps going up as it gets rarer and rarer. If you're interested in purchasing a copy for $5 let me know. It would cover shipping and cd's.

Hello all. This work was performed backstage at the Amelia G. Tapper Center for the Arts. It was recorded on a sunny Wednesday morning at 7:34 am This piece was entirely improvised on the spot. He has influenced my works in the past, and I decided to put up a improvised recording after watching his recordings on his youtube page (www.youtube.com The last minute or so is definitely dedicated to Mike ...
