Andrea Bocelli & Katharine McPhee - Hitman: David Foster & Friends (2008) - The Prayer "The Prayer" is a duet between Céline Dion and Andrea Bocelli. It is the second single from Dion's Christmas album These Are Special Times and first from Bocelli's album Sogno. It was released as a promotional single on March 1, 1999.[1] "The Prayer" won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song from the Quest for Camelot movie in 1999, the second win in a row for a Celine Dion song. It was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1999 and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals in 2000. Dion performed it with Bocelli at both ceremonies. First, "The Prayer" was recorded as two separate solo versions, Dion's in English and Bocelli's in Italian. They appeared on the Quest for Camelot soundtrack in May 1998. The duet was included on both artists albums, released a few months later. It was also featured on Dion's compilation The Collector's Series, Volume One (2000) and greatest hits My Love: Ultimate Essential Collection (2008). A re-recorded solo version by Céline Dion (re-named "A Mother's Prayer") appeared on her 2004 album Miracle. Dion performed "The Prayer" live during her Taking Chances Tour as a virtual duet with Bocelli on the screen. The song appeared also on Bocelli's 2007 compilation The Best of Andrea Bocelli: Vivere. A live version by Bocelli and Heather Headley was included on his Under the Desert Sky DVD/CD and Vivere Live in Tuscany ...

The Magic School Bus is a Canadian-American Saturday morning animated television series based on the book series of the same name by Joanna Cole. It is notable for its use of celebrity talent and combining entertainment with an educational show, according to an article in Animation World Magazine by Annemarie Moody incorporating an interview with Executive Producer Deborah Forte. Broadcasting & Cable said the show was "among the highest-rated PBS shows for school-age children." In 1994, The Magic School Bus concept was made into an animated series of the same name by Ellipse (France), Nelvana (Canada), and Scholastic Studios (USA-Canada), and premiered on September 10, 1994. Forte says that adapting the books into an animated series was opportunity to help kids "learn about science in a fun way". Around that time, Forte had been hearing concern from parents and teachers about how to improve science education for girls and minorities. Each episode of the show ran about 30 minutes. In the United States, the show originally aired on PBS, through South Carolina's SCETV network; it was the first fully animated series to be aired on PBS. The last episode aired on December 6, 1997, when the series stopped production. The Fox network aired repeated from September 1998 to September 2002. Starting September 27, 2010, the Magic School Bus started a daily run on qubo (United States), and on Saturday mornings on NBC. The theme song is cut short for no known reason on qubo airings ...

Google Tech Talk August 17, 2010 ABSTRACT "Channels & Conflict: Consumer Response to Digital Media Distribution, and its Impact on Physical Sales and Internet Piracy" Presented by Michael D. Smith, with introduction by Hal Varian. The availability of digital channels for media distribution has raised several important questions for marketers, notably whether digital distribution channels will cannibalize physical sales and whether legitimate digital distribution channels will dissuade consumers from using (illegitimate) digital piracy channels. We examine these two questions using a series of "natural experiments" involving changes in the distribution of media on digital channels. Our results suggest that (1) online "free" distribution can complement legitimate purchases of media goods, (2) legitimate digital distribution channels can reduce the demand for piracy, and (3) that digital distribution is unlikely to cannibalize sales in physical channels in the short-term. Michael D. Smith is an Associate Professor of Information Systems and Marketing and co-director of the Center for Digital Media Research at Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Smith's research relates to analyzing structure and competition in online markets and substitution effects between legitimate digital distribution channels, piracy channels, and physical channels for media products. His research in this area has been published by outlets including The Economist, The Wall Street Journal, Sloan Management ...

Marketing Filming concluded in December 1998, and David Fincher edited the footage in early 1999 to prepare Fight Club for a screening with senior executives. They did not receive the film positively and were concerned that there would not be an audience for the film.[42] Executive producer Art Linson, who supported the film, recalled the response: "So many incidences of Fight Club were alarming, no group of executives could narrow them down."[43] Nevertheless, Fight Club was originally slated to be released in July 1999,[44] later changed to August 6, 1999. The studio further delayed the film's release, this time to autumn, citing a crowded summer schedule and a hurried post-production process.[45] Outsiders attributed the delays to the Columbine High School massacre earlier in the year.[46] Marketing executives at 20th Century Fox faced difficulties in marketing Fight Club and at one point considered marketing it as an art film. They considered that the film was primarily geared toward male audiences because of its violence and believed that not even Brad Pitt would attract female filmgoers. Research testing showed that the film appealed to teenagers. Fincher refused to let the posters and trailers focus on Pitt and encouraged the studio to hire the advertising firm Wieden+Kennedy to devise a marketing plan. The firm proposed a bar of pink soap with the title "Fight Club" embossed on it as the film's main marketing image; the proposal was considered "a bad joke" by Fox ...

(NuNation Productions On da track)...www.myspace.com Bryon Anthony McCane (born 12 September 1976 )Best known as a member of the Cleveland crew Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, rapper Bizzy Bone began a prolific, risk-taking, and sometimes baffling solo career in 1998. Combining rapid raps and laid-back singing, his soul-searching debut, Heaven'z Movie, didn't sound entirely unlike a Bone Thugs album, but it was obvious that on his own Bizzy felt free to explore his psyche and to go eccentric places his group just would not. The Gift from 2001 further divided Bone fans, with some seeing his confessional writing as riveting while others found it overly indulgent. A year later at a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony performance in New York City, Bizzy was noticeably drunk and walked off-stage halfway through the show. He was let go from the group that night, but Bizzy claimed he had been a solo artist for years and only a guest in the group. He also began giving more interviews around this time, frequently speaking about his new crew, the 7th Sign. He also made an appearance on the Fox television series America's Most Wanted, revealing he had been kidnapped at the age of four and had wrongly believed his mother was dead until he was rescued, thanks to someone who had recognized his picture from a photo shown at the end of the 1983 television movie Adam. If it seemed the black sheep of Bone was becoming more personal and approachable, 2004's fascinating and cryptic Alpha and Omega was a puzzling ...

21 Jump Street is an hour-long police drama television series that aired on the FOX Network from April 12, 1987 to April 27, 1991, with a total of 103 episodes. The crime drama focused on a squad of youthful-looking undercover police officers investigating crimes in high schools and other teenage venues. Created by Patrick Hasburgh and Stephen J. Cannell, the series was produced by the studio Stephen J. Cannell Productions in association with 20th Century Fox Television. The show was an early hit for the fledgling FOX Network, and was created to attract a younger audience. The final season aired in first-run syndication mainly on local FOX affiliates. It was later completed in rerun syndication on the FX cable network (a sister company to FOX) from 1996 to 1998. The series provided a spark to Johnny Depp's nascent acting career, garnering him national recognition as a teen idol. Depp found this status an irritant, but he continued on the series under his contract, from which he was released after the fourth season. A spin-off series, Booker, was produced for the character of Dennis Booker (Richard Grieco); it ran one season, from September 1989 to June 1990.
Here is a famous Sinatra song, chosen to illustrate the glamorous beauty of Sheree North. Sheree North (1932 2005) was an American actress, singer, and dancer. Born as Dawn Shirley Crang in Los Angeles, California, she began dancing in USO shows during World War II at age 10. She continued dancing in clubs under the moniker Shirley Mae Bessire. After being spotted by a choreographer performing at the Macayo Club in Santa Monica, North was cast as a chorus girl in the 1953 film "Here Come the Girls" starring Bob Hope. Around that time, she adopted the stage name Sheree North and made her Broadway debut in the musical "Hazel Flagg", for which she won a Theatre World Award. She went on to reprise her role in the film version "Living It Up". In 1954, North signed on with 20th Century-Fox. The following year, she won the lead role in "How to Be Very, Very Popular", a role that was initially rejected by Marilyn Monroe. Media attention over the choice of North in the role that Monroe rejected resulted in North appearing on the cover of Life magazine with the coverline "Sheree North Takes Over From Marilyn Monroe". Film historians, then and now, continue to cite North's electrically charged dancing to "Shake, Rattle and Roll", as the film's most memorable scene. After the success of "How to Be Very, Very Popular", North was groomed by Fox as the "new Marilyn Monroe". However, the studio soon focused attention on a new Monroe-esque actress, Jayne Mansfield. Decades later, North ...

All three had enjoyed success as producers of albums during the new "grunge" movement, especially Vig who had helmed Nirvana's "Nevermind" and the Smashing Pumpkins "Siamese Dream". They recruited Edinburgh, Scotland native Manson, of the band Angelfish and previously Goodbye Mr Mackenzie, to be the lead singer. The band is best known for the hits "Stupid Girl", "#1 Crush", and "I'm Only Happy When It Rains". Manson's sultry voice and seductive lyrics backed by pulsing rock, pop, techno and trip hop beats made the band one of the most mainstream and commercially successful bands born from the alternative rock movement of the early to mid 90's. Their worldwide popularity following the release of their second album, "Version 2.0", in 1998 led them to be tapped to perform the title theme to the 1999 James Bond film "The World Is Not Enough". They have headlined several world tours and also opened for Smashing Pumpkins, No Doubt and U2. The band is currently on hiatus after releasing their last album of new material in 2005 and a greatest hits album in 2007. Manson appeared as a regular cast member on the FOX ...

If you're nostalgic for Sky Channel, then this video is for you! If you want to see classic Sky, this is the YouTube video for you! Back in the 1980s, Sky Channel used to exist before February 5, 1989 at 6 PM, EXACTLY 20 years ago last month. This is a closedown from Sky Channel back in 1985 or was it 1986? I don't care which but, by God, I sure do love it! You can see the whole of Europe as Sky ends their service for the night. First, you see the night sky, then the studio lights go off, then you see a city which I don't know what that is, then you see a huge transmitter: a satellite dish, (note that in that city, it's still daytime. Maybe this was pre-recorded in 1984 or something), then the city again, then an unknown worker lowers the video switcher in the console room of Sky Channel. When you see a double-decker go, now you can know what the city is: London, England, United Kingdom, the home of the BBC and ITV, and was and still is, as of 2009, and always will be, the home of the British Sky Broadcasting Network owned by Rupert Murdoch of News Corporation, which owns 20th Century Fox, by the way. You then, see a church, and then, the sky again. Then, the Sky Channel logo appears, with the Sky logo flying, and the "Channel", then appears. Sky, sky. Get it? Sky Channel was born in 1984, after Rupert Murdoch bought the Satellite Television Network. Then, three or four years later, Sky Television was born. Then, two years later, the British Sky Broadcasting Network was ...

Live Performance of Dishwalla for the song Somewhere In The Middle Dishwalla is an American, alternative rock band. The band's name comes from an Indian term for a person providing cable television to a neighborhood. The Santa Barbara, CA, band Dishwalla made a big splash in 1996 with their catchy pop single "Counting Blue Cars." With the gritty heart and soul of those who came before them, Dishwalla's hard rock sound was enough for fans to make "Counting Blue Cars" one of the most-requested songs of that year. The song also garnered the band a Billboard award for Rock Song of the Year and allowed their debut album, Pet Your Friends, to sell more than a million copies. Dishwalla, which emerged out of the early stages of post-grunge, is composed of JR Richards (vocals), Scot Alexander (bass), Rodney Browning (guitar), Jim Wood (keyboards), and George Pendergast (drums). They spent the mid-'90s touring with the likes of Sheryl Crow, Blind Melon, and the Goo Goo Dolls in support of Pet Your Friends. Prior to making a second album, the band was caught in the middle of the Polygram/Universal merger and such a move left Dishwalla pondering what to do next. Their second album And You Think You Know What Life's About was released in 1998; promotion and sales were lackluster due to label downsizing. Dishwalla's time with A&M was shortlived and exhausting because of such corporate behavior, but they stuck it out to contribute their cover version of "Policy of Truth" for the Depeche ...
surfing with the 20th century fox fanfare about the 20th century fox here en.wikipedia.org Twentieth Century Fox Television, Inc. (on-logo as 20th Century Fox Television) is the television production division of the 20th Century Fox movie studio, a subsidiary of News Corporation. Twentieth Television (also spelled 20th Television) is a separate distribution arm overseen by News Corp.'s Fox Television Stations Group, although it uses a variant of the studio logo. [1] 20th Century Fox Television was founded in 1949 as other studios were branching out into television production as well. At that time, the company was known as TCF Television Productions, Inc. until 1955. The logo from 1960 to 1992 seemed to suggest that the division was called 20th Television Fox, but this was untrue. TCFT absorbed the operations of TV production companies Metromedia Producers Corporation in 1986 and MTM Enterprises in 1998, and is the current distributor for most of the shows originally produced by the two companies. Since 1986, TCFT has produced the bulk of series airing on the Fox network, including The Simpsons. Twentieth Television produced the first two series that aired on Fox's sister network, MyNetworkTV: Desire and Fashion House. From 1993 to 1994, the 20th Television logo was used to represent 20th Century Fox Television, though as stated, these were separate entities.

For example, a zoom lens with focal lengths ranging from 100 mm to 400 mm may be described as a 4 or "4×" zoom. The term superzoom or hyperzoom is used to describe photographic zoom lenses with very large focal length factors, typically more than 4× and ranging up to 10× and even 14×. These are a few close friends, and co-workers that I worked with at the time for WVEU TV69 in Atlanta, Ga. Owned by Broadcast Corporation of Georgia with (President/GM Vance Eckersley) from about 1981 to 1995 which then was purchased by Viacom Paramount Corporation who changed it to UPN with the call letters to WUPA TV69 which is now called The CW Network. The people you see in this photo are friends of mine who I worked with at WVEU, and is when this photo was taken after a show that was called (Community), hosted by Ben Jonathon Tribble who was the best at what he did, and I should know I was his director for many years and also a very close friend of mine who we lost in 2005 or 2006 from apparent heat attack I believe when he was in Washington, DC. Starting a new job on air. Ben was one of the original VJ'S when WVEU started up because at that time it was a music video station only, and which had a few different host that would include Rock & Roll, Rap, Country, Blues/Jazz etc. I can't remember all the host's but one was BJ Rucker who some of you may know from a few years ago was on WXIA TV 11 Alive, in Atlanta. The Butcher, which some of you may know him from Charlie Magruders that was off of Powers Ferry Rd off of Interstate 285. Also Pete Mandell (aka Glen White) who also hosted a show called (The Jazz Beat). The people you see in this photo are from left to right. The first photo are from left to right, Ben Jonathon Tribble, Jennifer Ingram now with (The Cartoon ...
This ENG/EFP truck was originally owned by WSB TV2 in Atlanta Ga. and it was truck #5. I rebuilt this from the ground up, and set it up to make broadcast magic. The breakout panel has been set up to handle 4 cameras, IFB, Crew, and with 2 FrameSync inputs, 4k Onan generator, etc. It has new paint, and everything is new from the ground up to the inside, and with gear. It has a GVG 110 Component switcher. As you can see it's very nice, and the engineering & design was done by Drew Kraus one of the Chief Engineer's at the CNN Networks in Atlanta, Ga. He is a great friend, and without his help it could not have been done. It took me almost a year to complete, and I also have to thank another very important person, and a great engineer also. That would be Gary Kelly who was Chief engineer at WVEU TV69 (BCOG) and also for WUPA TV 69 (Paramount) in Atlanta, Ga. Without Gary's help I really couldn't have done any of it, and my 24ft truck which I have no video of it on here at this moment could not have been built with out him. Gary, now runs his own company called RF Digital Services, Inc. (RFDS) is located in Covington, Ga. which is just outside of Atlanta. Here is a famous Sinatra song, chosen to illustrate the glamorous beauty of Sheree North. Sheree North (1932 -- 2005) was an American actress, singer, and dancer.
