Thang Long Ha noi 1000 years, Ly Thai To Monument , Ngoc Son Temp . Hanoi Hanoi (Vietnamese: Hà Nội, "River Interior") , estimated population nearly 6.5 million (2009), is the capital and second-largest city of Vietnam. From 1010 until 1802, it was the most important political centre of Vietnam . It was eclipsed by Huế during the Nguyen Dynasty as the capital of Vietnam, but Hanoi served as the capital of French Indochina from 1902 to 1954. From 1954 to 1976, it was the capital of North Vietnam. October 2010 will officially mark 1000 years of the establishment of the city. On this occasion, Hanoi has been named as one of the world's "Top Destinations 2010 " . In 1010, Lý Thái Tổ, the first ruler of the Lý Dynasty, moved the capital of Đại Việt ( the Great Viet, then the name of Vietnam) to the site of the Đại La Citadel. Claiming to have seen a dragon ascending the Red River, he renamed it Thăng Long ( Ascending dragon) - a name still used poetically to this day. It remained the capital of Vietnam until 1397, when the capital was moved to Thanh Hóa, also known as Tây Đô ( Western Capital). Thăng Long then became Đông Đô . As the capital of Vietnam for almost a thousand years, Hanoi is considered to be one of cultural centres of Vietnam, where most of Vietnamese dynasties had left behind their imprint. Even though some relics have not survived through wars and time, the city still has many interesting cultural and historic monuments for visitors and residents alike . Hanoi ...

This small village in the Berry province acquired the title of 'City' in 1300. The parish was a dependency of the Archbishop of Bourges. The manor of Sarzay belonged to the Barbançois family since the middle of the 14th century. They were a family of knights whose sons distinguished themselves in the battles of the Hundred Years War. The family built the castle and remained owners until 1720. Their title was promoted to marquis in 1651. To begin with, the castle was open ground circled by a ditch and defended by an enclosure of which the only remnant is a chapel-tower. In 1360, the lord of Sarzy, Guillaume de Barbançois, fought the English outside the nearby town of La Châtre, before looting the town. Sarzay was at the edge of the kingdom of France, facing the English possessions of Poitou, Limousin and Aquitaine, and thus formed part of the first line of defence of the kingdom. Around 1440, Jean de Barbançois constructed a hall flanked with five towers, one of which served the various floors. The towers were crowned with machicolations. The castle contained the English invasion. Surviving intact from the Hundred Years War, the Wars of Religion, the Fronde and the French Revolution, it is today one of the most photographed monuments in France.
The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History. In what is perhaps the last major story of World War II that hasnt yet been told, a little-known Allied division was given the mission to find and protect European art treasures looted by Hitler and the Nazis. The stolen art included works by Michelangelo, Da Vinci, Van Eyck, and Vermeer. In a race against time, each man working on his own, the Monuments Men built their own treasure maps from scraps and hints. These unlikely heroes, mostly middle-aged family men, went from quiet lives into the epicenter of war, risking and some losing their lives. Included in this group of men was a woman who courageously worked to preserve the cultural heritage of France under the threat of death by the Nazis. Like other members of the Greatest Generation, the Monuments Men embody the heroic spirit that enabled the best of humanity to defeat the worst. This is their story.
Rose Valland was quite possibly the greatest heroine of World War II. She worked in the Jeu de Paume museum in Paris under the Nazis, secretly documenting where they were sending art stolen from Jewish collections. Her story is largely unknown, but her courageous work is the epitome of heroism and patriotism. The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History. Here is some ingame footage of Cities XL, the new city building mmo that just came out a couple of weeks ago. I have a few fairly impressive cities, and produce the most resources of any given type on the entire planet of Prosporo. But the video starts out, in my city named Office Space, which as you can guess, houses many offices, and staplers. It also has a Hi Tech Section as well. And the video finishes up with Megaplex, the Heavy Industrial capital of Prosporo. I make more than twice as much as resources as even the second place guy on the list. I will likely add another video showing Party Coast (my resort and power house) and WaterMart in a later video. But here you go folks, here is some in game footage of Cities XL. Hope you enjoy!
