Yamaha also produces a smaller 600 cc version of this motorcycle called the FZ6. Generation I (20012005) 2004 FZ1The FZ1 was produced for the United States in 2001. Models produced in the period 2001 to 2005 were known as FZS1000S, Fazer in Europe. They had a modified Yamaha YZF-R1 motor in a steel tubular frame. The FZ1 was carbureted and produced around 140 hp (100 kW) (108111 hp at the wheel). They were virtually unchanged over this period, except for different colour options. In some European countries the 2005 model saw the introduction of an exhaust based catalytic converter, albeit of a rudimentary design. Generation II (since 2006) 2006 saw the introduction of a completely new model. The main changes included a new chassis, suspension, body work and a completely new engine, never seen before in the big Fazer. This brought the bike up to date with modern rivals. The new model has a 998 cc DOHC 20-valve R1 engine, which produces 150 hp (110 kW) (129132 hp at the wheel) at 11000 rpm, set in an all-new compact aluminum frame.

Com a falta de potência das 600 eo excesso das 1000, a 750 é a mais adequada para quem quer curtir o máximo de esportividade. Nessa Suzuki 750 são 150 cv e 163 kg de pura adrenalina Texto, fotos e vídeo: Leandro Mello Quando ela apareceu pela primeira vez, em 1986, já causou um certo impacto. Nascida para brigar com a Yamaha FZ 750, a Suzuki GSX-R 750 tinha o estilo totalmente racing e promessa de muita pegada. Com as fábricas concentrando seus investimentos na categoria 600 e acima de 900, a Suzuki acabou ficando praticamente sozinha na categoria 750 e deu um golpe fatal na concorrência quando apresentou a nova GSX-R 750 em 1996 na versão mais radical de todas. E para justificar a fama de quebrar barreiras a cada dez anos, em 2006 chegou essa 750 considerada a mais potente e esportiva do mercado. Azar das outras fábricas, que pararam de investir nessa categoria. Em 1996 as motos com grande potência tinham 1.100 cc, porém eram pouco ágeis, e pesavam cerca de 240 kg, ou seja, andavam bastante em reta, mas nas curvas deixavam a desejar. De outro lado tínhamos as 600 que arrepiavam nas curvas, só que nas retas mal passavam dos 250 km/h, velocidade máxima bem limitada pra quem tem muita pressa! O melhor de dois mundos seria uma moto com a potência de uma 1.000 ea estabilidade de uma 600. Com esse desafio na cabeça a Suzuki produziu, em 1996, a 750 que conquistaria o mundo todo, com peso e corpo de 600 cc, mas respeitáveis 131 cv. Seu design era cativante, além da altíssima ...
