A woman who got a bad case of the bends while diving with friends about 120 miles off the Galveston coast, was pulled from her boat and taken to a Texas City hospital Sunday, a US Coast Guard spokesman said.
Natha Nuckols, 62, thanked Galveston firefighters for rescuing her from her burning home. Nuckols, who suffered third-degree burns and severe smoke inhalation, was recently released from the hospital.
