www.myspace.com The story behind the song says that the Beatles were inspired from the Greek syrtaki (simple 2/4 hasapiko rhythm a la Zorba) after their holidays in Greece back in the mid 1960's.I think they used bouzouki for the recording! One of my favorites Beatles' classic!!!
