6' C.Ronaldo 1-0 75' M.Pjanic 1-1 Stadium: Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, Spain Attendance: 80354 Match Time: 19:45 UK Official(s): Nicola Rizzoli (Referee) Cristiano Ronaldo's seventh Champions League goal of the season gave Madrid the perfect early start as he netted after just six minutes to level up the aggregate scores at 1-1. However, Madrid failed to make the most of a host of first-half chances and they paid the cost as Miralem Pjanic smashed home a 75th-minute equaliser for Lyon to send Manuel Pellegrini's men crashing out. With this year's final being staged at the Bernabeu, Madrid had high hopes of reaching that final showpiece and the postmortem in the Spanish capital will almost certainly leave Pellegrini under more pressure. It would have been a different story though if Madrid had not been so profligate in the opening period, with Gonzalo Higuain the chief culprit. Madrid could not have asked for a better start as they came out flying. There were just 16 seconds on the clock when Lyon goalkeeper Hugo Lloris was called into action first, coming out to deny Kaka, and within five minutes Madrid were ahead. Guti's ball over the top from inside his own half put Ronaldo in on the left and his low left-footed drive fizzed under Lloris, who might have felt he should have done better. After that Lyon had to withstand a Madrid onslaught. Kaka, Ronado and Higuain all went close before the latter missed an incredible opportunity to put Madrid 2-0 up in the 25th minute ...

Thrown out of cowboys stadium
Carolina downs the ball to a chorus of Boos in the final play at Giants stadium ever. Sorry, the Jets don't count. They never did and in the new stadium they never will. When I first got the tickets it was 1972 and they played at Yankee stadium. 3 years at the Yale Bowl and one at Shea before Giants stadium opened. The Giants played 283 games here as of which I attended more than 240. In 1976 the season tickets cost me a couple hundred dollars. This year including "parking pass" they have run over two grand. In order to have the "right" to sit in the new stadium next season, I have to pay a "license fee" on top of a huge price increase for tickets. It has been a magical act that every year the price goes up and every year I somehow pull the money out of a hat. There are many good memories here and many ugly moments. There has been rain, wind, snow, blazing heat, fights, laughs, blood, security, state troopers, spilled beers, stretchers carrying out people, people getting kicked out, thousands of high-fives and even some romance. The Giants left the way they came in: horrible losers. In a game for the playoffs and most especially THE FANS, they were routed by a team playing for pride. 41-9 pride won.

They threw a box of popcorn then proceeded to walk up the stairs to the promenade. As they were walking, beer and popcorn were thrown at them and one of the Phillies fans bitch slapped one of the Giants fans......yes, bitch slapped. Thats how they roll in Philly, i guess !
