Goddess Heather has no followers yet. Be the first one to follow.
Excerpt from the eulogy for Heather given by Vinny Some of you may have been surprised that Heather chose a church for this service, because although she grew up as a Protestant and a Quaker, she wasn't really Christian. On the other hand, Heather believed in reincarnation, but wasn't a Hindu; she worshipped nature, but wasn't a Shintoist; she wasn't Jewish but when her cat JosÈ died we sat shiva for him for a day (it was a beautiful ritual); she admired the Dalai Lama but wasn't Buddhist; she participated in many goddess-based rituals with the Faeries but wasn't Wiccan. Heather was spiritually, as in other aspects of her life, a great synthesizer. She developed and pursued her own faith, and she would say right now that she has returned to the Source. Our neighborhood friend Jackie, when she found out about Heather's worsening health said, "I know I'm not supposed to ask, but 'why her?'" When someone dies relatively young it's natural to ask why, but none of us are ever privileged to possess that information. But I would like to address the question of How—which I didn't write about much or at all in my many email updates. How did this come to happen to Heather? It begins with the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. In the wake of that horrific event, Heather volunteered to help the people who were involved in the clean-up by offering her hands to give Jin Shin Jyutsu—the Japanese healing art, a form of acupuncture without needles, by which she made her living the ...
Quick day trip on the way back from Asia to say hi to gorgeous Hawaii.

Hangzhou, one of China's most popular tourist destinations, is a beautiful setting for the latest live show from the album 'Goddess Awaits'.

It's Rachel who's simply ADORABLE here, and what about her breathtaking voice and accent?!? OH-MY-GODDESS...her 'No....I don't understand...' blows my mind each and every time! :-D Anyway, Rachel Shelley plays Julia Barlett in this 2006 romantic comedy film starring Heather Graham (as Gray), Tom Cavanagh (as her brother Sam) and Bridget Moynahan (as his fiancé Charlie). Alan Cumming, who acted in The L Word along with Shelley as party promoter Bill Blaikie, is also in the cast as Gordy, a taxi driver who becomes Gray's mate and helps her approach the gay world. The movie is about finding love and about the unexpected things that you discover about yourself while you are on this journey, in other words both the funny things and the deepest and truest side of your personality. Gray certainly does discover her true self and her sexuality along the way, and in the process she stumbles upon a Rachel Shelley in her most fitting role of the intriguingly bitchy and alluring woman in charge. Here is the famous bar scene, when Gordy (improvisingly dressed as a lady to dodge the women-only entry code) accompanies Gray to her first gay bar. There she unexpectedly meets an incredibly amazing Shelley who will make her coming out definitively more comfortable... Who wouldn't want to follow such a lead?!?! :-D For more info on the movie check IMDb @ www.imdb.com

Song: Joan Artist: Heather Dale Album: The Gabriel Hounds I am as God made me I have no desire For a mouth at my breast Or a pot on the fire I heed the higher voices I go where I'm sent To mow down the men Who refuse to repent I'm a scythe In a field full of briars And they won't call me mother Or sister, or wife They will know me or not By the strength of my life I will burn with A light of my own. They'll know me as Joan They'll know me as Joan The courage of Catherine The flames of the forge Sword of Saint Michael The blood of Saint George I take what I'm given I follow my truth I gladly abandon The bloom of my youth I'm the lashing That falls from The scourge And they won't call me mother Or sister, or wife They will know me or not By the strength of my life I will burn with a Light of my own They'll know me as Joan They'll know me as Joan I fight where god tells me I never ask why I've bloodied the devil With steel from on high I kill without consequence Heed no man's law I sift out the righteous Like grain from the straw I am judgment And heaven Is nigh And they won't call me mother Or sister, or wife They will know me or not By the strength of my life I will burn with a Light of my own They'll know me as Joan And they won't call me mother Or sister, or wife They will know me or not By the strength of my life I will burn with a Light of my own They'll know me as Joan No they won't call me mother Or sister, or wife They will know me or not By the strength of my life ...

vlog entry - www.hollywoodruss.com I worship you like a goddess, Heather! But when I'm put on the spot like that, I just lock up. It's an issue that plagued me all through school. I knew the answers, but when the teachers pressured me to come up with them, I'd choke. Don't you feel sorrry for me? Can I have an interview? I wonder what she thinks of them digging up her show from the 80's (and early 90's). Sad man. Really sad.

The Last 5 Years - Shiksa Goddess Catherine - Sherie Rene Scott Jamie - Norbert Leo Butz Lyrics: JAMIE I'm breaking my mother's heart The longer I stand looking at you The more I hear it splinter and crack From ninety miles away I'm breaking my mother's heart The JCC of Spring Valley is shaking And crumbling to the ground And my grandfather's rolling Rolling in his grave If you had a tattoo, that wouldn't matter If you had a shaved head, that would be cool If you came from Spain or Japan Or the back of a van Just as long as you're not from Hebrew school I'd say, "Now I'm getting somewhere! I'm finally breaking through!" I'd say, "Hey! Hey! Shiksa goddess! I've been waiting for someone like you" I've been waiting through Danica Schwartz and Erica Weiss And the Handelman twins I've been waiting through Heather Greenblatt, Annie Mincus, Karen Pincus and Lisa Katz And Stacy Rosen, Ellen Kaplan, Julie Silber and Janie Stein I've had Shabbas dinners on Friday nights With every Shapiro in Washington Heights But the minute I first met you I could barely catch my breath I've been standing for days with the phone in my hand Like and idiot, scared to death I've been wandering through the desert I've been beaten, I've been hit My people have suffered for thousands of years And I don't give a shit! If you had a pierced tongue, that wouldn't matter If you once were in jail or you once were a man, If your mother and your brother had "relations" with each other And your father was ...

Song: Black Fox Artist: Heather Dale Album: Road To Santiago As we were out a-hunting, One morning in the spring Both hounds and horses running well Made the hills and the valleys ring But to our great misfortune No fox there could be found Our huntsmen cursed and swore but still No fox moved over the ground And up spoke our master huntsman The master of the chase If only the devil himself come by We'd run him such a race And up there sprung like lightning A fox from out of his hole His fur was the colour of a starless night And his eyes like burning coals And they chased him over the valley And they chased him over the fields They chased him down to the river bank But never would he yield And he's jumped into the water And he's swum to the other side And he's laughed so loud that the greenwoods shook Then he's turned to the huntsmen and cried Ride on my gallant huntsman When must I come again For you should never want for a fox To chase all over the glen And when your need is greatest Just call upon my name And I will come, and you shall have The best of sport and game And the men looked up in wonder And the hounds run back to hide For the fox it changed to the devil himself Where he stood on the other side And the men, the hounds, the horses Went flying back to town And hard on their heels come a little black fox Laughing as he ran Ride on my gallant huntsman When must I come again For you should never want for a fox To chase all over the glen And when your need is ...
Music: King Of Elfland's Daughter Artist: Heather Alexander Art: Good Goddess Shaiya Lyrics: Who are you, he said, to the woman before his eyes I did not see you coming, and so I'm quite surprised To find that I can see the sky, looking through your eyes I cam across the void, said she, Yes, I'm a stranger here And I have need this moment, to whisper in your ear A favour I would ask of thee, and so will you draw near? She breathed herself like whiskey into his waiting brain, All in amaze he turned and asked the lady of her name, You know me from your waking dreams of when you were a boy, I am the king of Elfland's Daughter. Now friend, will you drop everything and come away with me, Along the rocky cliffs so high and then across the sea Come and join our faerie band in our dance among the trees I will, he said, and took her hand and so they journeyed far, And called a dance together between the daylight and the dark, And if you should go seeking them you'll find them dancing still She breathed herself like whiskey into his waiting heart, And in the end it mattered not they came from worlds apart, He a mortal man and she quite something else again, She was the King of Elfland's Daughter.
In this episode, we discover some pretty weird things in the sewers. Also Heather needs swimming lessons. Never knew that. I need to do more of these. These are silly~ Sorry for camera and TV glare.

Song: Sedna Artist: Heather Dale Album: The Road To Santiago Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone From her hands they fell Children of the ocean's swell With ice's twinkle given sight She offered them a name And seals they all became And laughing, took a coat of dappled light Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone From her hands they fell Ever in the sea to dwell Nimble fingered, quick and lithe She offered them a name And otters they became Keepers of her secrets in the ice Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone From her hands they fell The mightiest of all Slow and gentle as the tides She offered them a name And whales they all became To tread the paths the lesser are denied Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone Sedna roamed the deep The cold forgotten deep No one wants to be alone
