Jens Dennow was a popular Danish bandlesder in Copenhaen in 1930 and 40'ies. Was married to Gerda Neumann, a very popular Danish jazz singer and actress. This record is the only one Jens Dennow made with Gerda Neumann. Gerda Neumann is better remembered for her recordings with her brother Ulrik Neumann, the Danish jazz guitarist and entertainer. Jens Dennow and Gerda Neumann died on January 26th 1947 in the plane crash in Kastrup Lufthavn ( Copenhagen Airport ) together with the American singer Grace Moore, on their way to Stockholm, Sweden. Jens Dennow was the impressario of Grace Moore during her final visit to Scandinavia. This record ia little broken in the rill, I have tried the best to lead the needle through it.
