Raising Cain Live at Glasgow's Grand Ole Opry. Great band here at the Opry. We should have filmed this with our pro gear, but were banned at the last minute, by the Opry committee. So we had to steal some shots on a bloody mobile phone.! We have only been filming groups here for the past two years with the hope that footage displayed, would attract new members and benefit the club. And it did. But, and wait for it-some club members complained they may be in the footage and didn't like that. What can I say. Clearly some members are just inconsiderate and don't want the club to progress, or have they something to hide. Can you believe that! Give me your comments. I have been filming at this club for the past two years, off my on back. Nothing as queer as people! No disrespect to Raising Cain. They were great. But it leaves you wanting to shake the committee up. More info... www.raising-cain.tv www.bands2utube.com www.glasgowsgrandoleopry.co.uk http
Western Express live at Glasgow's Grand Ole Opry. Here backing a member covering the charity spot and an excellent job he did too. Great to see a country duo that could communicate with the audience. Bringing some terrific music to the Opry, Malcolm and his partner Dave played some fab numbers to an ecstatic audience. News story about Former Grand Ole Opry singer, Bobby Hodge. Taken at his night club in Tampa Florida called the Longhorn Saloon. Bobby (with his family and band) is interviewed by Russell Rhodes from Fox13. Story ran in 1998. Band members are Bobby Hodge on vocals & acoustic guitar, Bob Hodge Jr on drums, Richie Hodge on bass guitar, Bob Rippy on lead guitar, Dan Whittaker on steel guitar. On a side note, I got word that the steel guitar player, Dan has since passed away from a stroke. Feel free to visit Bobby's web site at: www.bobbyhodge.homestead.com All comments are welcome!
Porter & Dolly reunite once again in 1997 for a live version of the very first hit "The Last Thing On My Mind" This was a celebration of Porter's 40th year as a Grand Ole Opry member.
Red Canyon at Glasgow's Grand Ole Opry. This is the singer who can hold an audience's attention with not just terrific banter and colourful jokes, but a super musical talent. Singing great country songs, and even greater, in my opinion, blues numbers. Here he is with splendid versions of Brad Paisley's Whiskey Lullaby and Papa M's Over Jordan. And a big congratulation to the band members for really good backing. A must to see group when they are here at the Opry, often accompanied by his very loyal fans, affectionately called The Canyonettes. A point of interest, I am sure for many, is his brother Steve James, also appears regularly at the Opry and is every bit as good as his brother. Just slightly different styles. Actually, Steve is here with his band at the Opry, on the 7th September 2009. See you. More info... www.myspace.com www.myspace.com www.glasgowsgrandoleopry.co.uk http

Here's Marty singing a medley of two Hank Williams and Eddy Arnold songs from the 60's. Marty soon replaced the late Hank Williams as the darling of the Opry audiences and stayed with the American institution for 30 years. If you were lucky enough to be a member of the audience when Marty was on the show you would invariably get your money's worth because he would often go over time, but he didn't care; he would just move the hands of the clock on the stage back and carry on doing what he ...
