Two new TUFF fighters, Jessica L (gray top) and Jessica W captured at the beginning of a recent TUFF practice. Fighters spend the first part of their warm up boxing the heavy bag, then kicking. The warm up goes on for a good 10 minutes, followed by stretching and then into the main practice. We captured a brief part of these two in order to give you a peek behind the scenes. Fox has been wrestling guys for years, and was excited to learn about TUFF. She is a carbon copy of Lizzie, also 5'6, 160 lbs of muscle and fight. When we filmed the video, we had them flex together side by side first, and it's remarkable. Fox quickly picked up some of the moves unique to the MMA / TUFF style of fighting, and was ready for her first real fight after sparring with Bria, Lizzie and Cherry in the two days previous. Now..about the fight...the fight went 30 rough minutes to conclusion, with the only stoppage being the one that ENDED the fight. 30 continuous rough minutes of these two skilled, muscular, intense fighters. After the flexing, there is a stare down....and then one girl pushes/slams the other girl in the chest and the fight starts. Kirsten has been training with TUFF for almost a month, and takes on Val, an experienced TUFF fighter who is back in the gym after 5 months off. Val is 5'5, 125 lbs, and is an intense scrappy fighter who has beaten girls taller and heavier (see Val vs Em). Kirsten is 5'6, 130 lbs, is a former competitive cheerleader and has been an athlete all her life. Tina has a gymnastics background way in her past, while Kristi is a fitness trainer.
