Here we have an interesting player piano rendition of "Green Acres" TV theme played by Bob Berkman and issued as part of a 3-song medley roll entitled "TV Trivia Roll no. 6" on QRS 13136. Green Acres TV series ran from 1965-'71.
Mash-up with the most beloved films to hit the silver screen and the theme song to one of televisions most beloved fish-out-of-water comedies
The Ohio State University Student Life IT Department put together a funny video for Val Shafer's retirement. It's a parody of the "Green Acres" theme song.

Steven Spielberg Presents Tiny Toon Adventures, usually referred to as Tiny Toon Adventures, is an American animated television series created by Tom Ruegger and produced by Amblin Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation. It began production as a result of Warner Bros. reinstating its animation studio in 1980 after a decade of dormancy. During the 1980s, the new studio only worked on revivals of the classic characters; meaning that Tiny Toon Adventures was the first of many original animated series from the studio. The cartoon was the first animated series produced by the collaboration of Steven Spielberg and Warner Bros. Animation during the animation renaissance of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The cartoon premiered in first-run syndication and CBS on September 14, 1990. In 1993, the show was licensed exclusively to Fox Kids, and later to Kids WB. Regular episodes ended production in 1992 in favor for Animaniacs, however, two specials were produced in 1994-1995. Tiny Toon Adventures is a cartoon set in the fictional city of Acme Acres, where most of the Tiny Toons and Looney Tunes characters live. The characters attended Acme Looniversity, a school whose faculty primarily consists of the mainstays of the classic Warner Bros. cartoons, such as Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester the Cat and Elmer Fudd. In the series, the university was founded to teach cartoon characters how to become funny. The school is not featured in every episode, as not all of its storylines are ...

The Replacemnts wrote heartfelt rockers and ballads in the 1980's. But there also was another side to the band. They liked to have a good time on stage sometimes bordering on silly. Led by Paul Westerberg they would romp through cheesy covers like "If I Only Had A brain", "The Green Acres Theme", and 60's and 70's top 40 hits such as"Fox OnTheRun", "Sugar Sugar", and "Love Grows Where My Rosemary Goes" among many others. This recording from 1984 shows that fun side of the band. God bless The Replacements.

My wife's family has a tradition of singing silly songs at weddings, and since they didn't get to do one for us at our wedding, we had a do-over so they could get their song on. Here my sisters-in-law Kris, Julie & Leonie sing a song for describing how we met, based on the theme to "Green Acres".

This rarely seen Canadian film from 1981 actually had several titles "The Victory" and "This Time Forever" when released on Vhs in the early 90's. In theatres it was known as "Gabrielle", "Yesterday" or the horribly titled "Scoring". No matter what the film is called, it manages to be a wonderfully romantic film set in Canada during the late 60's. A young med student Matt Kramer (Vincent Van Patten) , falls for a french girl Gabrielle (Claire Pimpare) and the two begin a romantic relationship. After a prank at school causes Matthew to get expelled, he can either return home to the United States and to his mother (Cloris Leachman), and most likely face get drafted and sent to Vietnam(as his granfather played by Eddie Albert would like him to do), or stay in Canada and be with his true love. He decides to go just before Gabrielle can tell him she is carrying his child. What happens next can only happen in the movies. This terrific love story is so rare, that it has never been released on DVD and NEVER turns up on cable anymore. It has not been on HBO since the mid 80's. I hope you enjoy this tribute to a little seen film with a beautiful theme song "This Time Forever", played in its entirety here.
