The newer, hipper Sonic heads back in time to relive this classic level.
The very first Sonic level ever, played with the adorable Classic Sonic.
Please view in 1080p for best viewing quality. Ohmanohgodohmanohgod This is pretty much perfection except for a few improvements (Nothing major, more or less just frame-by-frame perfection) Also, this took forever to upload. I hate using Sony Vegas.
A play-through of Sonic Generations: Green Hill Zone Act 1. This footage was capture in 720p through HDMI on Xbox 360. What do you think? Is Sonic back on form?
I have taken a few peoples advise and decided to do a speed run for you guys. HD so enjoy
MP3: bit.ly The original "Green Hill Zone" from Sonic the Hedgehog, composed by Masato Nakamura. I've been trying to get myself to not be such a perfectionist before uploading videos - I told myself, "don't think, just play, Aivi!" So, instead of carefully planning out the arrangement beforehand like I usually do, I hit "record" with just that little yellow post-it note to help me (which has about 4 chords written on it)... If you've ever wondered what me having fun, and trying to improvise, and making mistakes, and praying that my keyboard won't explode looks like - this is it! It's also my first time trying a splitscreen video, and my first time talking into the camera, and I borrowed a red shirt from my roommate to dress in Dr. Robotnik colors for the secondo half - oh so many new things for me. Hope you enjoy! (Keyboard: Roland RD-700NX) --------------------------------------------- aivitran.com http facebook.com

Usually I don't do these things, but since there's already a number of videos featuring fan renditions of the Splash Hill Zone music from the upcoming Sonic 4, I decided to put up one as well. This is a 16-bit version of the Splash Hill Zone music, converted in a format which can be replayed on the original Sega Mega Drive / Genesis. I tried to put it in Sonic 1's Green Hill Zone and I have to say that it kinda fits. Credits to RAMPKORV from the Sonic Retro Forum for providing the midi arrangement which I used to make this. UPDATE: HERE IS A DOWNLOAD LINK FOR AN MP3 VERSION OF THIS SONG: www.archive.org AND HERE IS A VGZ (you'll need a specific program to play this): digilander.iol.it
I'm gonna start uploading random Sonic The Hedgehog zones with me clearing them at my best starting with the original Green Hill Zone. ZONE DESCRIPTION: Green Hill zone is a beautiful tropical land filled with lots of flowers and palmtrees, this zone is where all the animals like to hang out, the scenery is beautiful and there is a breathtaking view of the ocean but unfortunately Dr. Robotnik has left hundreds of crazed robots spreaded through out the area making Sonic's travels a bit challenging. Watch Sonic as he goes around the giant loop, tumble down tunnels, and jumps over crumbling cliffs before you even get a chance to blink. This is the start of Sonic's endless quest to rid planet mobius of the evil Dr Ivo Robotnik. I believe I cleared this zone with every single ring and item box and left nothing out, I don't play Sonic The Hedgehog games just to speed through the whole thing, I take my time through each zone collecting as many rings and item boxes as I can to rack up a big score. This is the PAL 50Hz version of Sonic The Hedgehog and as far as i'm concerned this is how the music is supposed to sound, I grew up with it so It's normal. I'm not knocking the USA/Japanese version but in my opinion the NTSC 60Hz version is extremely difficult to play because you have less time to react to whats happening on screen, plus they butchered the music by making it sound like a thrashed heavy metal band. I now own all the 16-bit Sonic titles in NTSC 60Hz or should I say PAL ...
Too much awesome.

MP3 DOWNLOAD: www.benbosco.com Me playing the intro theme, Green Hill Zone, Invincibility Theme and Stage Clear Music from Sonic the Hedgehog (Megadrive / Genesis versions) on Electric Guitar and Bass. Drums are pretty much the same as the original, just replaced them with live samples and spiced them up a little. Great game, and great music (although I never really played the Megadrive version, I was more of a Master System Kid)! If you're interested in obtaining a copy of my backing track, please get in touch. www.BenBosco.com Also check out my band "7" at http
PLEASE WATCH THIS IN HQ, IT'LL SOUND WAY BETTER ! I DIDN'T MAKE ANY TABS/SCORE FOR THIS ! Hey ! Another classic tune. Playing the drums with no metronome is hard ! XP The lead guitar is a bit off, since the strings are old, but this was the best tuning I could get. Guess I should have used a new set of strings, but as we say in french: fleeeemme. Enjoy !
LittleBigKiminski made the awsome level design & video, i thought to change the music LittleBigKiminski used and put the orignal green hill zone music on it to make it feel more like sonic! All video & credits go to LittleBigKiminski, check out his/her channel. www.youtube.com
A song that was also found on the same Rom as the Others, not quite as good as some remixes I've heard, but still ok, Please enjoy =) Song by: Unknown (idk who made the song) Picture by: Professor-J his Deviantart professor-j.deviantart.com
This is an entry for User Upload Challenge 3, where you have to make a video game tribute using Spore Galactic Adventures. The level I created is the Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog. You should check it out. Enjoy.
Remember the Green Emerald Hill Zone/GHZ2 stage I made? Well now its texturized!!! A fellow youtuber asked me to change the name to GHZ2 so I did :) Brawl+ Topic: www.smashboards.com HD: www.youtube.com Download Stage WITH Texture: www.esnips.com Type: Sonic The Hedgehog 1/2 HOW TO DO THIS (NO DVD NEEDED): ---------------------------------------------------- First you need to get your wii hacked. To do so, search up tutorials here on youtube. Search "Twilight Hack". Do not ask me how to hack your wii or I will simply ignore you. Once you do that, you SHOULD have the hombrew channel. Now download Gecko OS. (A Homebrew channel application (Search "Gecko OS"). Version 1.7 and lower requires you to launch it through the Homebrew channel. However, 1.8 currently has a channel itself. Now you are ready for codes. To use codes search "How to use Wii codes" or "Code Manager Wii". Once you know how to use codes, use the SD Loader 2.1a code by Phantom Wings which doesn't require you to wait for EACH and EVERY costume. (Thank you God). But load times may be a little longer. You can find the code here: nintendobros.com So you wanna make your own textures huh? Well you need the stage files. Download them here (Uploaded by Jose Gallardo): nintendobros.com Finally, you need the program to make textures. Download it here (By El_Refugio): nintendobros.com Instructions are included. It's called "Readme".

My Little Big Sonic level!
Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone Music Stage 1
Another song from the remarkable group. Buy the album if you can.
This is a really early beta of Sonic 2 which can be found HERE: www.mediafire.com . This beta features only 1 complete zone - Emerald Hill zone. It is the only zone that will play by simply pressing START on the title screen. However, if you use level select (up down down down down up), you can access some of the original zones of Sonic 1. I also used Debug Mode (up C down C down C down C down C up C) The level select will show only Sonic 1 zones. One you can access is a very glitchy Green Hill Zone. The graphics are messed up and the physics and hit detection are also flawed. You can fall through the Ground. There are some game genie codes that (mostly) fix this. Those codes are (you must use them all at once): AA1A-CEAL AA1A-CEFT AA2A-CEB0 AA2A-CEB6 AA0T-CAG6 AA1A-CAEC AA1T-CAA2 AA1T-CAF8 AA2A-CADJ AA2A-CADR AA1T-DECG AA1T-DEHN AA2A-DECN Even though most of the physics are fixed, some things are still messed up. You cannot run around loops, and the platforms that fall (they stick out of the edge of a platform) sometimes act wierd (you can fall through them). These codes mess up the physics in all of the Sonic 2 Levels. Also, here is the list of what levels are on the Sonic 2 Beta. Green Hill Zone=Green Hill Zone (with messed up graphics and physics. Marble Zone=Chemical Plant Zone. Spring Yard Zone=Hidden Palace Zone. Labyrinth Zone=A void in which you (and Tails) fall to your death. Star Light Zone=Emerald Hill Zone. Scrap Brain Zone=Hill Top Zone. Final Zone=A level ...

Sonic the Hedgehog: Green Hill Zone Enjoy! ------------------------------ Sonic the Hedgehog is © SEGA™ and Sonic Team™.
MP3 link: spamtheweb.com WARNING: Contains filthy, juvenile lyrics. Part of a side-project on Sonic Paradox to give Sonic songs lyrics. This is my contribution, a take on Green Hill Zone's theme (and the Act Cleared music). The mix goes by the extremely clever name "Cream Hill Zone". LYRICS: This game has started in Green Hill Zone, Don't blame me if it makes you groan. Hello, it's time to begin, This video game by Sega. In this zone that some fans say, Is the Alpha and Omega. Honestly it's a good one, But it's quite deceptively hard. Though this is the first level, You shouldn't just run around like a retard. (No no no no nono) You'll get killed. (Don't be so damn stupid) Impaled by spikes. (You can't just hold right) Fall down pits. (Like all those fucking stupid critics say) This zone is the most famous, Of the green types in the series. It has a lot of flowers, And a big fuckload of palm trees. Which contain TV boxes, For reasons no one can explain. Things here are trying to kill you, And make you feel just indescribable pain. (Oh god so much suffering) Buzz Bombers. (They'll shoot lasers at you) Spiky log things. (They spin and stab your crotch) Moto Bugs. (Actually... these guys are utter shit) Okay well done, you made it, time to chill out, And take a piss.
This is a remix of the song played in the first level of the game "Sonic the Hedgehog". This song can be downloaded on iTunes. This song is done by Retro Remix Revue and I would like to thank them for making it and letting me share it!
Another request KK Slider has done: Green Hill Zone from the first Sonic the Hedgehog. Many people requested it. MarioMan19 was the first one. download link: pieterer.mylivepage.com I extracted a soundfont of KK Slider with vgmtrans used on the animal crossing: Wild world rom. Then I made an mp3 of a modified midi-file.

This is the music for the Green Hill zone in Sonic 1 on the Sega Genesis. IT'S BEEN EXTENDED! ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The non-extended version is available to download: www.megaupload.com
Let's Play Sonic the Hedgehog: Green Hill Zone, crossposted on YouTube, what are the odds?
Download mp3 : www.mediafire.com Arrangements inspired from Videogame live concert Medley. Programmed with Symphonic Orchestra Gold & Colossus by Olivier Sirois (2008), in collaboration with SEGA.
This video is nothing special, it just shows the similarities between Green Hill Zone and Dreams of an Absolution. First you can hear both songs separately and then together. I used the remix of Dreams of an Absolution because the original is slower than Green Hill Zone. This one synced pretty well without me having to change the speed of either song. "Similarities to the Green Hill Zone theme can be found in "Dreams of an Absolution", the theme for Silver the Hedgehog in the 2006 Sonic game, also called Sonic the Hedgehog, though the song's composer Lee Brotherton claims that this was an unintentional coincidence." I would like to point out that: -This song was written for a Sonic game, but not for Sonic himself - if you didn't know already, this is a remix of Silver's theme song. -Lee Brotherton has stated that the similarities were not intentional.
enjoy
Little bit of nostalgia for you.

EDIT4 (Think I have enough edits yet? x_X): I've re-uploaded the file here: www.geocities.com But since it's on my geocities storage, it can only contain the level, so you must download the engine here: www.youtube.com Thanks to all the people who have bothered me about it... finally got me to do it :P... EDIT3: A lot of people have been asking me for the engine, so check this videos description for the original engine: (Link removed, see above.) But, you do NOT need it to play my level, all you need to play my level is included in the link below... EDIT2: Now you can download the level at: (Link removed, see above.) Password is "sonic" -------------------------------------------- EDIT: I've made a tutorial on how to make levels! Check it out: www.youtube.com ------------------------------------------- This is a level made by me on the Sonic 360 Engine (made by Mark The Echidna and Damizean). I take no credit for the engine, the textures, or the music. (as I stated in the video...) It was originally soposed to closely resemble Green Hill Zone, but yeah... Oh, and don't mind the ramp at the end, It glitched out, and I don't feel like fixing it XD. Disclaimer: sonic and all related content are ownership of SEGA, sonic team and DIMPS developement.
