I grew up 30 minutes from Punxsy but never experienced Punxsutawney Phil - Groundhog Day. In 2003, I decided to document all the crazy activities surrounding it. Even the Governor of PA got it on the action! It is a "must-see" event that will warm your heart.

Edmonton has one of the highest car dependence rates in Canada and citizens are spending more time in their cars, driving longer distances. How are we trying to spend less time in our cars? What helps us make different decisions when it comes to deciding how to get around the city? When are we choosing to carpool, take transit, walk or ride a bike? These decisions are part of an every day challenge to shift to more sustainable modes of transportation. We've begun to ask Edmontonians for their stories about how they choose to travel using more sustainable modes of transportation. Jerrold, who works at the nearby Winspear Centre for Music, home of Edmonton's Symphony Orchestra, was happy to tell us how cycling and walking are year-round options for him. Diagnosed with osteoporosis since his early 20s, Jerrold is under doctor's orders to walk or cycle to help to build his bone density. But what started as activities to improve his health has turned into every day form of transportation that helps save Jerrold time on his daily commute and makes him happy. What didn't make the cut of this short video is one of the reasons why Jerrold looks forward to his daily walk or bike ride through the river valley... seing his friend the groundhog at the Kinsmen Centre who grows fatter by the day chewing on the fresh spring grass. As Jerrold mentioned, these are the type of things that you miss if you choose to drive through life rather than walk or cycle through it.

Narrated-"A study of Groundhog/Woodchuck family life in rural Michigan."(see published articles about this study: "Woodchucks-up close and personal" April 30, 2008 page 1B, and "Aw Chucks!" January 6, 2010 page 5A at www.tricitytimes-online.com Also: "Going (ground) hog wild" January 31, 2010 Page 1C at www.mihomepaper.com NOTE: 3/2/10 There MAY be misidentification of the chuck in the spat scene with Woodrow. During filming, identification of individual chucks/groundhogs is not always easily made.On the date of filming the spat in April of 2008, there were at least four different chucks filmed over a period of hours. Using two camcorders, attempts were made to film their movements and activities in the back, side, and front yards. Further review of films from this date on large screen leads us to question identification of Whiteface in the spat scene with Woodrow. Identification is made by identifying males or females when possible, individual markings, and/or behavior. Chucks are not tagged or identified by DNA testing.

Are our children being indoctrinated into Socialism? Is the end near for America, our Republic? How can we survive as a limited government Republic if our children are being indoctrinated into a belief that the State is responsible for you, that you are not responsible for taking care of yourself? I know that those on the left will say that this is not what they want, but the proof is in the results. As the government gets bigger, there is an exact correlation to your freedom getting smaller. If we cannot take care of ourselves, then it is only logical that our government will have to get bigger to fill the vacuum. That is why George Washington, an evil white man, believed that family and religion were indispensable pillars of our society. He believed that without them, our Republic as mapped out by our Constitution could not stand. He also believed that those who would try to tear down these great pillars of our Republic, the family and religion, could not call themselves Patriots. And I would only add that they should also be considered traitors to our country, and that they should be treated as such. My point is that when Socialism expands, humane liberty retreats, there can be no other outcome. If you have the government to continually fall back on, then what is it that will give you the drive to make something of yourself? Even worse is that for those who do decide to make something of themselves, the government is waiting there to take it away from you and to give ...

This is what happens if you quit the Demolition Derby activity (or fail it by not detroying enough cars) while doing the Holy glitch. Basically, the camera detaches from your character and you are still able to do the Holy glitch (walk through walls and on top of water). At the end, I Holy-walked all the way to a Freckle Bitch's on the other side of the map, and I teleported inside of it when I blew myself up. The Holy glitch goes away when you teleport. 1. Do the Groundhog Day glitch. www.youtube.com 2. Start the Demo Derby activity. 3. Position the car and immediately quit the activity. 4. Open the map and set a way point so that you can find your way back to the camera. 5. Walk wherever you want, just like the Holy glitch. If you position the car toward the edge of the track, you will be able to see through the arena when you walk away from it. You can also visit stores and start activities like this, but your XBOX might freeze. Music is Sabre Dance by Aram Khachaturian GlitchBlog.com
