DISCLAIMER: This song doesn't belong to me. I believe the lyrics were written before anyone of us were born. I believe it was written by the prophet Isaiah. Hence, it's called Isaiah 44. It's fantastically arranged by Mr Ted Pearce. He did the music and original singing too. So I could rightfully say it's Mr Ted Pearce's song. LORD. CAN YOU TELL ME MORE ABOUT SIN? Sin is when people go their own way rather than my way. Every person has their own mind, their own heart, and their own soul. When people turn away from me and do what Satan wants them to do then that is a sin. People are born with 2 ears. I am not talking about the physical ears, I am talking about spiritual ears. One spiritual ear is tuned to Satan's call. One spiritual ear is tuned to my Call. People do make choices about who they want to listen to. The sinful nature of man is within the person from birth. Every person is born with selfishness in their heart and an ear to evil and darkness as well as an ear to me. Satan and I conflict within each person. There is truly a war for each person's soul. Some people are born and raised in total darkness and never hear my voice yet they still have the spiritual ear to hear me. Woe to those people who would do such a thing to a child. Even after you come to Christ and repent, you still have that ear that can hear Satan. You must continually pray that you resist the cunning voice of Satan and listen only to me. This song played a critical role in my coming to faith in Christ Jesus on 7th March, 1987. Just a few months before that, I was sitting in the home of some customers of mine and they played this piece of music to me. I was absolutely taken aback with these lyrics. I could hardly breathe. It was as if the Lord God had suddenly shown me the truth of the Gospel through this song. I will never forget that day as long as I live. After this day, I never felt condemned by God's law again, but I knew that I was not yet fully at peace with this God. A few months later, I was at home, and I played the tape that my friends had made for me of this song, and, once again, I felt as if the breath was blasted out of my lungs. Tears ran down my face and within a week, I was saved. I have never been able to listen to this song without tears streaming down my face, so making this video was quite something, as I had to llsten to it over and over again in order to get the pictures sequenced and in order for dramatic effect. It is my prayer, that all who hear this song will not remain untouched by it. It is also my prayer that all who hear it will be blessed and those who do not have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, will come to that faith so that they may know the peace that surpasses all understanding that comes with knowing, and being known by, the Lover of our souls.
