Hailey Glassman appeared on the Insider as a panelist but it ended up being an entire show dedicated to her. She breaks down crying almost immediately and pours her heart out. Does makeup run? I often commend Jon for being so open and honest (almost to a fault), and she seems to exhibit the same characteristic. She comes across as young and naive. Unlike most guests who face an onslaught (Jon versus nancy grace comes to mind), they pat Hailey's back and tell her what a good girl she is. I almost feel bad for laughing through that part, but seriously... it's corny. Hailey goes for sympathy points as she discusses her media portrayal as a homewrecker and just how devastating this is to her. You can see her in eyes how genuinely hurt she is by this. I want to say that she didn't sign up for the scrutiny so back off - but she knew who Jon was going into this. Her egocentric self-serving remorse is truly a testament to her age and maturity - Jon please find someone your own age. Is she a homewrecker? Not as I see it. If not her, Jon would have hooked up with someone else. Jon was so checked out (as was Kate) by that time that anyone smiling at him would end up his "soul mate." So I do think the label is harsh for Hailey. She didn't wreck the home, it was already trashed. I do feel bad for Hailey, and hope she has learned a lot through this. I know I wouldn't be strong enough to be in her shoes and feel the insecurities as Jon pulls his lame moves and media pours gas on the fire.

Dancing with the stars is milking it for all it's worth. Big cast reveal on the bachelor followed by a secret interview on kimmel with Kate. And next up is good morning america where the dance partners are finally revealed. Kate is there via satellite so she can spend lots of time with her kids. Weird seeing her flirty with a new guy... does she look like sh'e had work done? Far cry from the relateable neatfreak mom she used to be.
With the big finale of the bachelor, they announced the cast of Dancing With the Stars. Kate is one of the 11 chosen. Should make for some interesting viewing. So wasting no time promoting the newest season Kate is on Kimmel a mere hour after the announcement. Does that mean we're going to see a new wave of media attention? The inteview is actually pretty mundane and classic Kimmel style - how she infiltrates my favorite shows I'll never know. They're just chatting about the show and all the speculation. I do like his comment about bringing in a kid with missing teeth to get some sympathy. I wonder if Jon can control his kids being filmed on other shows. I was hoping they would address the other stuff going on. Like Jon settling his TLC breach of contract lawsuit and possibly letting his kids continue to be filmed - and TLC vowing that if the show goes on it will be without Jon - and will there be a spring '10 new Kate-only show?
Haven't been much Jon and Kate gossip or drama lately. Hailey's here to fix that. Here she is chatting it up for the media and giving Jon an ultimatum. She claims Jon was given $200000 and even signed papers for it. I know that most relationship transferred money is hard to prove and usually seen as a gift - and not usually signed for. Whatever the case, I'm sure Jon has burned through all his money the kids earned and will be forced through his own stupid choices to let his kids be exploited. This interview with Hailey just makes me think of the classy attention seeking behavior we saw/see out of Kate Major. I don't want to sound like a broken record - but Jon you sure know how to pick 'em.

Hailey Glassman comments on Kate's newly revealed hairstyle. Not quite sure how Hailey fits into this, especially for someone that wants out and doesn't like the J&K attention. After mentioning recently in an interview that Kate didn't know how long she'd keep her infamous spiked thing on her head, she finally went for a drastically different style to start the new year. I really don't pay attention to fashion and such, but I guess anything's an improvement to her previous cut. Maybe I'm biased but it certainly seems like an attention seeking move on her part. The paparazzi would have tons of pictures of her new style if she hadn't gone to great lengths to debut it first in the magazine. Hailey, why are you still here? I haven't been able to follow the apartment drama, but sounds like she got kicked out and Jon accused her of stealing stuff including a TV. She denied all rumors until surveillance showed her taking the TV, then she admitted to just the TV, nothing more. Why is Hailey being consulted in this. Gotta love her comments about her brown hair and how she wanted to be like totally more intellectual and stuff. Hailey dated Jon after his marriage to Kate was over but before the divorce finalized. With all the pubicity, it was a stressful relationship to say the least. About a month ago they split up (practically on tv on ET). Jon just hasn't had much luck with the ladies, or much of anything lately. Hailey tells us about their over relationship and suspected infidelity. She says they live together but don't speak (remind you of anyone?). According to her Jon needs to work on his decent human being skills, I think a lot of people would agree with that. My favorite part is when she butchers a common saying, much like Kate Gosselin often does (golden spoon anyone?). In case you aren't up to speed, Kathy is promoting tons of stuff and has made several comments and jokes about J&K including a parody on the tonight show. The real showdown came when Kate was a guest host on the view about a month ago and Kathy was a guest.. Yay we get to see her with Hailey and getting a chance to grill her. Although it's not nearly as interesting as they promote it to be! For this episode I just cut it down to the parts regarding Hailey, and that makes it extra choppy. Please Gosselin and co - no more tabloid shows! They are ridiculously annoying to watch and record for youtube! sigh. Hailey stumbles for an explanation of the pictures of her doing dumb young 20s things. In her defense I am going to have to go with the fact that she's dumb young and 20ish. So what if she's got incriminating photos from her past, they aren't that bad! It's not like she's running for office or anything with a clean image. She's got some aging to do, and I'm sure she'll look back at 2009 with wise clarity (eventually). And I pose the question - if instead of Hailey Jon hooked up with a nice girl with a squeaky clean past what would be different, anything? Hailey's interview on the Insider continues. I just put up the whole episode with a couple short things edited out for time. I really don't know what to say about her demeanor. Crying inconsolably then perking up to answer questions strait up. It just seems out of place, but I'm really not a good judge at that sort of thing. The analogy that comes to mind is the criminal who shows remorse - not for their crimes but for concern of their own fate. Hailey accuses Jon of abusing her? With all the speculation surrounding J & K, it would be quite ironic for him to turn the tables and be abusive towards someone else. I'm sure psychologists would have a field day with this. I don't know how he treats her, I haven't been there for their personal moments... but that seems inconsistent with his historical persona (can't picture him pulling that sort of stuff with Kate). But on the other hand Jon has done so many unpredictable things that it is plausible he's mistreated his mistress. Hailey pulls a massive Kate contradiction. She explains that Jon doesn't have anyone to talk to since others have burned him by selling their stories to rag mags. She on the other hand has integrity, it's not her personality and she stays quiet. Um yeah... I guess if you don't count what you are doing right this very second!
