Today around 6pm an intense storm passed over us. The radar showed rain into the pink (severe) color band, and it's wasn't just a small dot! A national weather service alert came across the radio about 10 minutes prior to this storm hitting. One of the most intense hail storms I've ever seen. Apologies about the obnoxious screen. It's what I get for living on the first floor.

It never rains in Southern California, it just HAILS! Check out this freaky hail storm on a February 7, 2009 around 3:00pm. Southern California can literally go months without any rain, so when it does, it becomes a top-news event! I was luckily able to record this mishigas - rain, hail, the rainbow that followed and the snowy mountain vista it left behind. Enjoy!
