Nearly five thousand years back flourished India's first major civilisation along the Indus River valley. The twin cities of Mohenjodaro and Harappa now in Pakistan were ruled by priests and held the rudiments of Hinduism. These civilisations are known to possess a sophisticated lifestyle, a highly developed sense of aesthetics, an astonishing knowledge of town planning and an undecipherable script language. The Indus civilization at one point of time extended nearly a million square kilometres across the Indus river valley. It existed at the same time as the ancient civilizations of Egypt and Sumer but far outlasted them. Surviving for nearly a thousand years the Indus valley civilisation fell to tectonic upheavals in about 1700 BC, which caused a series of floods. The coming of the Aryans around 1500 BC, gave the final blow to the collapsing Indus Valley civilisation. At the dawn of Vedic ages the Aryans came in from the North and spread through large parts of India bringing with them their culture and religious beliefs. The Four Vedas or the important books of Hinduism were compiled in this period. In 567 BC the founder of the Buddhist Religion Gautama Buddha was born. During this time lived Mahavira, who founded the Jain Religion. The Indian subcontinent is full of caves and monuments devoted to these religions and are worth a visit. Two hundred years later, in the 4th century BC, Emperor Ashoka, one of the greatest King of Indian history, led the Mauryan Empire to ...
Oh please Mr. Teacher Can you please Can you please Can you please teach us something from the GLEs? Oh please Mr. Teacher for me and my buddies can you please teach us something about history? Well Ok, if you insist I will teach you from the list But I'd rather drink my coffee and make you take a pop quiz But we'll start from the beginning way back in the day a couple hundred thousand years ago we started out this way: We were all living in Africa in small nomadic bands we were hunting, we were gathering but then we did expand so humans lived in the middle east and then covered asia too and we found Oceania [oh shee AN ee ah] and Europe followed suit But then some groups were probably following animals and crossed the Bering Strait and stumbled in to the Americas we'll catch up with them late r 'cause half the world away some big stuff was happening some folks gave up the nomad life they starting farming We got the Tigris uh uh Euphrates Uh Uh Mesopotamia Uh Uh in the Fertile Crescent So as I mentioned Agriculture was changing human's lives they couldn't move from place to place they had to stay by their farm's side So thus began the first civilizations that we know and as they grew a surplus [extra food] that changed stuff even more see now we're seeing rulers now we've got a lower class and now we're seeing Sumerians' ziggurats wheels, plows, and canals The Sumerians also made one of the biggest inventions yet cuneiform was the first writing system it helped merchants ...

This points to sixteen other specific yogi glyptics in the corpus of Mature Harappan artifacts as pointing to Harappan devotion to ritual discipline and concentration. These images show that the yoga pose may have been used by deities and humans alike. Possehl suggests that yoga goes back to the Indus Valley Civilization. The most widely known of these images was named the Pashupati sealby its discoverer, John Marshall, who believed that it represented a proto-Shiva figure. Many modern authorities discount the idea that this Pashupati (Lord of Animals, Sanskrit pasupati) represents a Shiva or Rudra figure. Gavin Flood also characterizes these views as speculative, saying that it is not clear from the Pashupati seal that the figure is seated in a yoga posture, or that the shape is intended to represent a human figure. GENESIS NOAH'S FLOOD IS THE OCCULT IDEOLOGY OF THE YAHWISTIC CULT WITH THE SUBSEQUENT GENEALOGY OF CERTAIN BLOODLINES AFTER THE FLOOD. EXACTLY AS BIBLE THE TORAHIC HISTORY OR GENESIS IS COMPLETE HOAX. The Torahic-Biblical date of the flood is a falsifiable date. The Bible gives the date of the flood as beginning 2345 BC and ending in 2344 BC If this were really the world-wide gig claimed by creationists then the civilizations of the world would all show a disruption in their history or at least take note of such an event, but does the rest of archeology/history corroborate the Biblical account? NO! The city of Ur of the Chaldeans (ancient Sumer, location of the "plains of Shinar", hangout of Noah) was the leading city from about 2400 BC until about 2285 BC and its history is not broken by any flood in this period. Babylon was rising to power from about 2400 BCE on and reached a great height of civilization under the famous King Hammurabi, who would have been a contemporary of Hebrew patriarch Abraham (about 2250 BC), and again there is no break in this history due to a flood. In Egypt, the 5th Dynasty, which began to reign about 2465 BC, was followed by the 6th Dynasty (2323 BC), which ruled to about 2000 BC. This time-period is very well-documented and there was no disruption during the 5th Dynasty at the time of Noah's flood, 2345 BC, with the nation remaining strong and powerful throughout these dynasties. Interview on recently excavated site at shikarpur where the team headed by Professor Kuldeep bhan found a township that coexisted with the harappan civilization.
The city of Dwaraka as you know in the Mahabharat was created by Vishwa Karma with the Instructions from load KRISHNA.In the Mahabharata, Dvārakā (also known as Dvāravatī, both names meaning "the many-gated [city]" in Sanskrit; sometimes transcribed as Dwaraka and Dwaravati respectively) is the capital of the Yadavas who ruled the Anarta Kingdom.[1] The city was situated on the western point of Gujarat, and is submerged in the sea as per the volume 16 of the epic Mahabharata.
In the early eighties an important archaeological site was found in Bharat, at Dwaraka, the site of the legendary city of Lord Krishna. Dwaraka was submerged by the sea right after the death of Lord Krishna. This inscription refers to Dwaraka as the capital of the western coast of Saurashtra and still more important, states that Sri Krishna lived here. The discovery of the legendary city of Dwaraka which is said to have been founded by Sri Krishna, is an important landmark in the history of Bharat. It has set to rest the doubts expressed by historians about the historicity of Mahabharata and the very existence of Dwaraka city. It has greatly narrowed the gap in Indian history by establishing the continuity of the Indian civilization from the Vedic Age to the present day. Krishna- the protector of Mathura, the lord of Dwaraka and the reciter of the Bhagwad Gita on the battlefield of Kurukshetra is one of the most enduring legends of Bharat. Are Krishna and Dwar-aka actual historical entities? For a majority of Indians, the answer is an unequivocal yes. Some archaeologists and historians too are now willing to accept that the common man's faith does have a basis in fact. Dwaraka has a special importance as one of the major Hindu pilgrim place, known as the capital of Lord Krishna's Kingdom. It was the land of the hunter Ekalavya. Dronacarya had also lived here. Krishna decided to build a new city here and laid the foundation at an auspicious moment. He named the new city ...

Kalibangān (Hindi: काली बंगा) is a town located at 29.47°N 74.13°E on the left or southern banks of the Ghaggar (Ghaggar-Hakra River), identified by some scholars with Saraswati River[1][2] in Tehsil Pilibangān, between Suratgarh and Hanumāngarh in Hanumangarh district, Rajasthan, India 205 km. from Bikaner. The prehistoric and pre-Mauryan character of Indus Valley Civilization was first identified by Luigi Tessitori at this site. Kalibangan's excavation report was published in its entirety in 2003 by the Archaeological Survey of India, 34 years after the completion of excavations. The report concluded that Kalibangan was a major provincial capital of the Indus Valley Civilization. Kalibangan is distinguished by its unique fire altars and "world's earliest attested ploughed field" Fire altars At Kalibangan fire Vedi (altar)s have been discovered [19] [20], similar to those found at Lothal which SR Rao thinks could have served no other purpose than a ritualistic one [21]. These altars suggest fire worship or worship of Agni, the Hindu god of fire. It is the only Indus Valley Civilization site where there is no evidence to suggest the worship of the "mother goddess". Within the fortified citadel complex, the southern half contained many (five or six) raised platforms of mud bricks, mutually separated by corridors. Stairs were attached to these platforms. Vandalisation of these platforms by brick robbers makes it difficult to reconstruct the original shape of ...
Tantra and "Sacred Sex" "Shakti is the creator of the Universe, And the Universe is her fascinating body; Shakti is the basis of the entire world; She is the intimate substance of any body." - Shaktisangama Tantra Tantra pertains to a group of religious and magical texts concerned with various techniques of attaining enlightenment in Hindu and Buddhist philosophy, dating from the 6th to the 13th centuries. Tantra is largely concerned with the mantras, meditation, yoga, and rituals dedicated to the worship of the feminine principle of divine energy called, "Shakti." We have previously shown that the Vedic gods were largely male personifications of nature and human virtues. We have also seen in that the objects of worship of the feminine goes back earlier than the Indus-Sarasvati Civilization into prehistoric times by Vedic and non-Vedic cultures. Some historians postulate that there were parallel currents of religious veneration of the male and female representations in different regions of India. Indeed, many apparent "Goddess" figurines have been located at the Harappan site causing some historians to believe that a pre-Vedic Mother Goddess cult may have existed in Neolithic India. In any case, the Vedas do mention Aditi, the mother of the Gods, and goddess of the sky and earth, quite remarkable and unique for an ancient culture. full text at desteni.co.za www.desteni.co.za http Researched and Presented by Darryl W Thomas for Desteni Desteniproductions bernardpoolman for ...
Hindu Origins: Vedic Civilization And Religion Undertaking the daunting task of breaking down a religion as enormous as Hinduism gives one pause, because Hinduism goes so far beyond your typical Westerner's basic understanding of religion. It is difficult to grasp all at once. A shallow treatment of this system will not yield anything more than shallow realizations, and delving in too deeply creates the danger of getting lost within an ocean of details and losing the points. We will deal with this by handling the material historically and thematically, and those who wish to study further will have the appropriate terms to begin. Hinduism is the world's oldest existing religion, with a billion followers, making it the world's third largest religion, and within it containing a rich variety of religious beliefs, rites, customs, and practices. Hinduism is unique among the major religions because it claims no historical founder like Buddha, Mohammed, Moses or Jesus were for their respective religions. Hinduism is a belief system based entirely on the tales of mythic Gods, heroes, demons, magic, morality, karma and sacrifice. The word 'Hindu' is English, and named after the sophisticated urban centers located along the Indus River Valley. Harappa and Mohenjodero (located in modern-day Pakistan) were two ancient cities built around 3500 BCE that evolved and flourished as dynamic urban centers from around 2600 to 1700 BCE. Hundreds of sites have been excavated in the area of ...
Moen Jo Daro was one of the largest city-settlements of the Indus Valley Civilization of ancient India situated in the Larkana District of Sindh in modern-day Pakistan. Built around 2600 BCE, the city was one of the early urban settlements in the world, existing at the same time as the civilizations of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Crete. The archaeological ruins of the city are designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is sometimes referred to as "An Ancient Indus Valley Metropolis". Moen Jo Daro was built around 2600 BCE and abandoned around 1500 BCE. It was rediscovered in 1922 by Rakhaldas Bandyopadhyay, an officer of the Archaeological Survey of India. He was led to the mound by a Buddhist monk, who believed it to be a stupa. In the 1930s, massive excavations were conducted under the leadership of John Marshall, KN Dikshit, Ernest Mackay, and others. John Marshall's car, which was used by the site directors, is still in the Moen Jo Daro museum, showing their struggle and dedication to Moen Jo Daro. Moen Jo Daro is located in Sindh Pakistan on a Pleistocene ridge in the middle of the flood plain of the Indus River. The ridge is now buried by the flooding of the plains, but was prominent during the time of the Indus Valley Civilization. The ridge allowed the city to stand above the surrounding plain. The site occupies a central position between the Indus River valley on the west and the Ghaggar-Hakra on the east. The Indus still flows to the east of the site, but ...
