Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, the final movie in the series, is about to hit theaters this weekend. Since the Potter series is now mainly for the franchise's legion of superfans, Peter Travers decided to sit down for a chat with Rolling Stone's resident Harry Potter fanatic, Assistant Editor Erica Futterman. Though Travers wasn't crazy about the first half of Deathly Hallows last year, he was totally satisfied with this installment, to the point of choking up at certain moments. Though Futterman is sad that the movie series has come to an end, she is certain that Potter will stick around in pop culture for years to come. "The Harry Potter generation is the generation that grew up with him for the past ten years," she says. "It's going to be hard to wipe that out." The intro shows the covers of all The Harry Potter books in JK Rowling's series, ending with of course, the last one-- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The video features the hilarious Hillywood girls dressed as look-alikes for the film's characters, including Harry, Hermione and Ron, and there's even a Lord Voldemort. Fake Harry takes us through the vid, singing about the HP series and waiting for the final movie -- all to the melody of Friday. They've changed the lyrics from "Partying, partying, yeah!" to "Voldemort, voldemort sucks!" and "my parents, my parents died!" And the famous lyrics "Friday, Friday" were replaced with "Deathly Hallows" and "looking forward to the weekend" is now "looking forward to the MOVIE." Hillywood Harry is shown camping out in the woods in anticipation for the movie, much like how extreme Harry Potter fans set up tents to wait in line days before the final film's release. This is a tribute ending video mainly featuring the trio, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson. But also the creator of it all, JK Rowling, and the impact of the Harry Potter series around the world. I edited the video very simple and slow to focus on the tear-jerking speeches, and the always so epic theme song that we all love. And I've got to tell you. I've seen the movie! It premiered today, the 13th, in Sweden. My jaw fell more than once, and I cried during a lot of scenes, I can tell you that. The whole film was amazing, epic, and everything else. I wish I could say more, but I don't want to spoil it for anyone. I only have one thing that's bothering me that I can think of right now, and that's the change of details and location at hogwarts in the last battle scene between Harry and Voldermort(it's not as epic as in the book). You'll see. But it's still a magically phenomenal film! I really hope you both enjoy my video, and of course, Deathly Hallows! Lastly, to my subscribers: I'm so sorry for my absence. Our favorite wizards JUST hit the red carpet in London and they did it IN STYLE! Lets start with my personal favorite look to grace the carpet... Emma Watson STOLE THE SHOW with her pale blue ruffled Oscar de la Renta gown...her dress was not only a show stopper, but she looked so graceful as she walked the carpet. Daniel Ratcliffe, aka Harry, didn't look too shabby himself and Rupert Grint also looked sharpe as he walked the carpet! This was an emotional premiere for all the cast mates as this is the FINAL chapter of the Harry Potter Series. Emma Watson showed some serious emotion as she wiped tears from her face and Daniel Radcliffe even recently told Larry king that he quote, "wept like a baby" while filming his last scenes.
