Tim Tebow did not win the Heisman Trophy in 2008. But, out of the top three, Tim Tebow deserved it the most. The leadership that he displayed after the 31-30 loss to Ole Miss enough should've won him the Heisman, but it didn't. Tebow also received the most number 1 votes, but didn't win the Heisman. Tim Tebow completed 174 passes for 2515 yards, an average of 14.5 yards per pass. Sam Bradford completed 302 passes for 4464 yards, an average of just under 14.8 yards per pass. Not to mention Tim Tebow had 564 rushing yards with 12 touchdowns compared to Bradford's 65 rushing yards with only 5 touchdowns. Tebow and Bradford averaged about the same, which means if Tebow threw over 400 passes(Bradford-442 pass attempts), they would have had equal numbers. Tim Tebow also threw only 2 INT's in the ridiculously tough SEC. Put Tebow in the Big 12, where both Sam Bradford and Colt McCoy play, I GUARANTEE that Tebow's numbers would've been the same, or better, and Florida would be undefeated.

On Monday, July 21, 2008, the Milwaukee chapter of the University of Notre Dame Alumni Club hosted its 8th annual golf outing and dinner benefiting the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Foundation. The head Notre Dame football coach from 1964-74, Parseghian led his teams to the consensus national championship in both 1966 and 1973. The Milwaukee event was headlined by Irish quarterback from 1966-68, Terry Hanratty, whose image adorned the cover of the October 28, 1966 edition of Time Magazine, and was a three-time finalist for the Heisman Trophy. About $25,000 were raised for the APMRF's work to find a cure for Niemann Pick-C, a terminal disease that claimed the lives of three of Ara's grandchildren. More than 94 percent of all money raised goes directly to research into a cure for NP-C. Contributions can be made either at www.parseghian.org, or mailed to: APMRF 3530 E. Here is a video that I've been waiting for so long to make. After all the hype, all the build up for this game. Florida destroyed LSU. After all of those close games, all of those fourth down conversions. Florida shoved that right down LSU's throat Saturday. I loved seeing the confusion on Les Miles face. Yes Les, you're Tigers got blown away. That arrogant guy has had that coming to him for a long time. I'm glad the Mighty Gators gave it to him. Nice job on knocking Tebow out of the game by the way.... It's Great To Be A Florida Gator! Gators 51 LSU 21
Release Date: October 10, 2008 Starring: Dennis Quaid, Rob Brown, Omar Benson Miller, Clancy Brown, Charles S. Dutton Plot Summary: Based on a true story, "The Express" follows the extraordinary life of college football hero Ernie Davis (Rob Brown), the first African-American to win the Heisman Trophy. His fight for equality and respect forever changed the face of American sports, and his story continues to inspire new generations. Raised in poverty in Pennsylvania coal-mining country, Davis hurdled social and economic obstacles to become one of the greatest running backs in college football history. Under the guidance of legendary Syracuse coach Ben Schwartzwalder (Dennis Quaid), he became a hero who superseded Jim Brown's achievements and set records that stand to this day. Decorated veteran Schwartzwalder was a Southerner with a single vision of a national championship and hardened about how the world worked. But though he and Davis clashed mightily, he taught the player everything he knew about football, just as Davis helped him learn the true meaning of victory. As the growing civil rights movement divided the country in the '60s, Davis became a symbol for achievement that transcended race. Refusing to flinch from others' prejudices, he achieved all his goals—until he faced a challenge that would make most men crumble. He joined the ranks of black pioneers by teaching a generation tolerance, inspiring a movement that smashed barriers on and off the field. Studio: Universal Pictures (all rights reserved)
