After a bit of a hiatus, I have returned, I experienced some crash problems with my hard drive, but hopefully they are rectified. I have been busy working on my backyard garden. We moved to this house about three years ago and the first year had a small garden plot, about 10 x 10, last year we made it much bigger, about 5 times larger, this year we will more than double what we had last year. With the economy being what it is and with no guarantees that it will be getting better anytime soon, I feel the need to grow more veggies, that way we can dehydrate, can and freeze our crops as well as share them with family and friends. Because, what is better than sharing? Today I show you what we start with and then I will show you each week or so our progress. We have decided to use the squarefoot gardening method developed by mel bartholomew. It is great. I got so excited when I started reading the book, that I could hardly wait to get started.
