I realize I haven't uploaded a Rock Band video in a while. But here's a new one now, a guitar FC of Molly Hatchet's "Flirtin' With Disaster." Normally, I'm not a huge fan of southern rock, but this song, as well as Green Grass and High Tides, helped me gain a newfound respect for the genre. I still don't really listen to that stuff, but I love playing it in the game. The off-rhythm hammer-on sections, as well as the solo, can make this a pretty tricky FC, especially on RB1's engine. So I'm pretty happy about this FC. ----------------------------------- Updates: Spring Break!!! ----------------------------------- Personal Links Twitter www.twitter.com Facebook (tell me your YT name if you add me) www.facebook.com What DLC do I have? dlcquickplay.com Backup channel (in case this channel gets suspended, also used for updates, rants, etc.) www.youtube.com Misc. gaming channel (for non-GH/RB gaming vids) www.youtube.com

"The Glass Prison" is a song by the progressive metal band Dream Theater. Arguably one of the most aggressive and heavy tracks the band has ever released, it is 13:52 in length and is the first track on the Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence album. "The Glass Prison" alludes to the first three of the well known 12 steps of alcoholism rehabilitation created by Bill Wilson. The lyrics were written by the band's drummer, Mike Portnoy, about his experience with alcoholism. This track was often used to begin concerts since the World Tourbulence tour. Four sequels to "The Glass Prison", entitled "This Dying Soul", "The Root of All Evil", "Repentance" and "The Shattered Fortress", appeared on subsequent albums Train of Thought, Octavarium, Systematic Chaos and Black Clouds & Silver Linings, respectively. The follow-up songs reference the previous ones and each other, both lyrically and musically, and so may be considered a "suite", in the classical sense. The suite as a whole, which is generally referred to as the Twelve-step Suite, can be considered to be a sequel of sorts to "The Mirror" (found on 1994's Awake), as they reflect numerous thematic and lyrical ideas found in that song, but "The Mirror" is not considered a component of the suite. Though it is clear that Mike has stated that the songs reflect his alcoholism, it is unclear how deep it ran with him. Fans wonder but highly respect his right to privacy; he has (to date) never made an official statement regarding the ...

Live Recording at: " Beaches International Jazz Festival 2009" Woodney Pierre (Vocalist) The 21st Annual Beaches International Jazz Festival (www.beachesjazz.com) is one of the largest jazz festivals in North America with about a million visitors in attendance. Featured for the first time at this festival - and the cause of much dancing on the street, as noted by a local newspaper The Philips Westin Orchestra (www.philipswestin.com) was clearly regarded by many musicians and audience members as the best of the Top 3 big bands at the event. Performing artists from Canada, the United Kingdom, USA, South America, Europe, Japan and Asia were showcased by the upscale boutique big band managed under the Sheraton Cadwell Group (www.sheratoncadwell.com/presskit.html). The Philips Westin Orchestra (PWO) has a distinctly classy and modern sound that distinguishes it from contemporary big bands. In a class of its own with its delightful versatility and stylish refinement, the PWO is one of many boutique orchestras under the Sheraton Cadwell Group (www.sheratoncadwell.com) of 100+ music professionals dedicated to alleviating poverty in less developed communities outside Canada. With Toronto as its base of operations, the PWO and other affiliated orchestras produce over 3 CDs each year from compilations of live recordings throughout each season for worldwide distribution to raise funds for its charitable mandate. Little River Band was the first Australian band to successfully conquer foreign markets from an Australian base. Within eight months of their birth, LRB had already scored three Australian Top 20 singles and two Top Ten albums. In 1976, after their self-titled debut album was released in the USA, the long grind of 13 US tours in eight years had begun. By 1982 they became the only act from anywhere to have a top ten US single for six consecutive years. Headlining their own major shows in America, and touring internationally with the likes of the Doobie Brothers, Supertramp, America, and the Eagles was a huge learning curve that honed LRB into one of the finest live bands in the world. Record success ran alongside total record sales around the world have eclipsed the 25 million mark. 16 hit singles by 1985, as well as gold, platinum, and multi-platinum album sales awards. All-told LRB have notched up eight top 10 singles in the US, where just two of their songs, Reminiscing and Lady, have more than 8 million radio plays between them. Through the years LRB has thrived as a highly respected and constantly in-demand outfit, going about their craft with a dedication to excellence and professionalism that few, if any, can match. The Little River Band of 2007 is as strong as ever. There is a new fusion of spontaneity, rock and roll, and blues, anchored by American bass player Wayne Nelson, who began his LRB career in 1980. The following year Wayne debuted as lead vocalist on the ...

Video Note: I apologize for the constant motion of the camera in this video. My goal was to get a more close-up look at the band members as opposed to the usual high-position, wide-shot view normally used in video-taping marching bands. Shot at the 32nd Annual Tournament of Bands on November 8th, 2008 at the Kamehameha School's Kunuiakea Athletic Complex in Honolulu, Hawaii. (Try to ignore the people talking during the performance.) Here's an excerpt from that night's program: Leilehua High School is located in Wahiawa, the heart of Oahu. The school received its name while at the original site at Wheeler, where the lehua trees surrounded the campus like a lei. Our school colors are born of the green fields of sugar cane and golden fruit of the pineapple. The mule was adopted as our mascot from West Point, the army proving grounds. The Leilehua Marching Band has been thriving and growing constantly, starting with 64 members in 2006, 72 in 2007, and 96 this year. The 2007 season marked our first foray into competitive marching and culminated with placements in the categories of Music, Drum Major, and Percussion. Through our belief in playing with FIRE (Focus, Intensity, Respect, and Excitement), we expect to improve and delight our audience with every show. This is the moment we have all been waiting for, so here it is ladies and gentlemen, parents and students, the final video for this years competiton of ISSMAs State Competition of North Side High School Marching Redskins. This couldnt have been a more perfect day as this event was held at the new Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts. The competition began at 10:00 am on the dot, with North Side starting it off. These young adults performed with the expertise and precision of a professional band, and they captivated the crowd with the first notes they played. The other bands also played extremely well and before you knew it, it was time for awards. North Side captured the 4th place spot as band after band was named off with their rankings. Just imagine 4th place in the entire State of Indiana. This is certainly a wonderful accomplishment and honor, not only for the band members, but for the families of these students as well. On a personal note, Mr. Edward King, band Director, his staff and helpers all deserve the utmost respect and the highest of adoration and praise for their tireless efforts and guidance throughout the entire process. This is something these kids will carry with them in their memories for the rest of their lives Thank you so much for your hard work. We all know its not easy making this all happen, but your efforts have paid off. Congratulations North Side, you make us parents proud. ROCK SWING !

INFORMATION UPDATED 16 JULY 2009. Since 2007, the funeral corteges of fallen British servicemen and women repatriated through RAF Lyneham have passed through Wootton Bassett. Every time, the town's dignitaries and residents have lined the street in silent respect as the cortege passes through. This parade is the armed forces' "Thank You" to the town. Letter published in The Guardian Newspaper, 16 July 2009: Sir We who represent the people of the town of Wootton Bassett, are honoured and humbled that the way we have paid our respects to our fallen soldiers in every weather and for upwards of two years now has touched people in the way it has, and that in a way we stand proxy for the grief of the nation. But we are simply the ordinary people of a very special town standing still and quiet for a few moments in a mark of sorrow and gratitude for those who have given their lives in service of the Nation. We welcome people from all over the country who come to join us, and we are proud that the national media has broadcast our moment's stillness to the world, although we'd be grateful for slightly less intrusive media coverage in the future. We welcome visiting generals and senior politicians, if they would like to come, and simply mingle with the crowds. But we'd prefer no pomp, nor militarization. Its the people of the town; no more nor less than that. Whats more, as a town, we'd much prefer that there was no further discussion of any recognition for what we do, or at least ...

A song from Arch Enemy's first studio album Black Earth. This is Arch Enemy pre-Angela Gossow when Johan Liiva was vocalist (1996 -- 2000). While I prefer Arch Enemy before Angela replaced Johan I'm still a fan of Arch Enemy even though the fan base has been overran with Angela fan boys not Arch Enemy fans. Love it or hate it Arch Enemy was a band before Angela and I would hope true fans of Arch Enemy will honor the past, respect the present and strive for years of death metal madness in the future from this great band. Note: This is an Iron Maiden cover.

NEW FUND RAISER COMING UP teaparty07.com ... (more) Added November 09, 2007 NEW FUND RAISER COMING UP teaparty07.com wont you help us make history!! Have you noticed? Ron Paul is picking up a LOT of support within the financial community. So far, these are the names of very prominent investment advisers who have announced their support for Ron Paul Axel Merk (Merk Hard Currency Fund), Harry Schultz (Harry Schultz Letter), Jim Rogers, (Jim Rogers.com), Richard Russell (Dow Theory Letters), and Peter Schiff (Euro Pacific Capital). Not to mention the Chicago pit traders who were cheering for Ron Paul when he went head to head with Bernanke! Also, I was down at a local silver / gold shop in Boston the other day and I handed the guy behind the counter a bill stamped with Ron Paul 2008 on it. Of course he knew about Ron Paul because of his honest money stance, and was a big supporter. Below are some brief excerpts and links to their full statements, where available. If you know of any others that I've missed - please post them in the comments section. I'd like to put together a very comprehensive list. Axel Merk - 4/27/2007 Merk Hard Currency Fund It is not our role to endorse a presidential candidate, especially not this early in the process. We don't agree with all of his views, but highly respect his no-nonsense approach to fiscal and monetary policy issues. We encourage everyone to familiarize themselves with the fiscal views of Congressman Ron Paul. He is living proof that ...

School: Valencia High School (Placentia, CA) Year: 2000-2001 Theme: Olympic Tribute Band Director: Phil Mortenson Intro: Gavorkna Fanfare (Jack Stamp) 2nd song: Gladiator 3rd song: Javelin (Michael Torke) 4th ballad solo song: Olympic Hymn (Leonard Berstein) Last song: Summon the Heroes This was how our entire performance was like, but I made a montage of different performances (not all of them) together -- including our practice session on our very own school field WITHOUT our uniforms. If you can't tell, I kept each video's own original audio source (that's why some parts sound louder than others); it is not just the same, single audio playing in the background. I just edited/cut different performances/videos so it would seamlessly sound together. I played the clarinet. That was the first and last time I was in marching band/field show; it's a lot of work! I have a lot of respect for them. It gave me a lot of stress then, but when I look back at it now, it was a pretty cool experience. It was nice when we won 1st place for all categories; and also when we made it to the finals in the WBA Band Championships -- where the top bands in California competed -- but we barely made it, though. lol. Oh well, at least we made it. It was crazy competing in the huge football stadium. The roadtrip was fun. We had to carry the huge, heavy pillars in the back for the competitions too! My mom did the filming, except for one of them (I'm sure you can figure out which one).
