In this barnstorming thriller, Longbow Oz faces off against the most rabid of beavers, in a deadly game of cat and mouse. Make sure to turn your volume up folks, this is a shocker you wouldn't want to miss
In this archive footage from 1938, we see how my ancestor Grandad Oz was easily a match for the great Howard Hill. However, his perfectionism coupled with his short temper prevented him from ever performing on the public stage.
Longbow Oz really sorts out the men from the boys with this trickshot, in which he shoots a beaver in the nuptials, blindfolded, hopping on one leg, AND carrying a bag of 'king edwards'. He is also seen using his new "Ananab" bow which has a titanium core developing 250lbs of force upon release, it's only downside being that it produces a small amount of methane when drawn.
With the beaver population drying up in the neighbourhood (and the beavers drying up too - heurgh!) Longbow Oz is doing a bit of conservation work, helping to re-locate a giant panda. He's trying out the new helium arrows that permit you to shoot at the subject then, if you get a move on, you can get to the animal BEFORE the arrow and throw a mattress under it before it hits the ground. In the video he mentions the new 20LB draw weight hunting bow that he's had specially made as he's the only archer living to pull that weight. He uses it during the week for demolition work and once to sink a boat full of illegal immigrants 3 MILES off the coast of SYDNEY. When he showed the bow to Big-ron Ferguson at one of his exhibition shoots and asked him if he'd like first pull of his weapon, Big-ron hid in the trunk of his car until nightfall rather than subject his body to the rigors of this bow. It is rumoured that HOWARD HILL attempted to draw a 20 LB at an exhibition in 1952... the effort is said to have detached both his patellas and made him soil his lucky archery trousers, which he never wore again...
