Hungarian Franziska Gaal (1901-1972) sings this song in "Katharina, die Letzte" (A ,1935/36). Composer is Nicolas Brodszky. Gaal played a few comedy films since 1932 in Germany, after 1933 in Hungaria and Austria. 1937 she went in the USA, but returned to Hungaria in 1940 - her mother was ill. 1947 she went back to New York, where she died 1972.
In observance of the 103rd birthday of the brilliant Hungarian-born Hollywood film composer Miklós Rózsa (1907-1995), I've uploaded the overture, prelude and exit music of SPELLBOUND (1945), in which Rózsa earned his first of three Academy Award wins in the category of Best Music, Scoring of a Dramatic or Comedy Picture. A native of Budapest, Hungary, Miklós Rózsa studied the violin from the age of five. In 1926, he began studying at the Leipzig Conservatory. While living in Paris from 1931, Rózsa had his "Variations on a Hungarian Peasant Song" and his "Symphony and Serenade for Small Orchestra" performed. After settling in London in 1935, he composed a ballet, "Hungaria." Luckily he met fellow Hungarian, Alexander Korda, who commissioned him to write an opulent score for KNIGHT WITHOUT ARMOUR (1937). While composing the score for THE THIEF OF BAGDAD (1940), Rózsa moved to California, where he remained. His film music, though often in the foreground, was seldom intrusive, most often amplifying the image. During the 1940s, his eerie mood music enhanced many a film noir. www.imdb.com

Tsintsabadze plays Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, is the second in a set of 19 Hungarian Rhapsodies by composer Franz Liszt, and is by far the most famous of the set. Few other piano solos have achieved such widespread popularity, offering the pianist the opportunity to reveal exceptional skill as a virtuoso, while providing the listener with an immediate and irresistible musical appeal. It is considered one of the most technically demanding works in the solo piano repertoire. In both the original piano solo form and in the orchestrated version this composition has enjoyed widespread use in animated cartoons. Its themes have also served as the basis of several popular songs.
WARNING: This may frighten you. Danse Macabre has been cut from 6:47 to 4:00. You can hear the original run here: www.youtube.com This is Nosferatu from 1922, which is possibly one of the most haunting films I have ever seen, due to Max Shreck's acting as the eponymous vampire and the wonderful but chilling music. Danse Macabre was originally composed by Camille Saint Saens in 1874 (My favourite composer), and is also a late Medieval allegory which I suggest you read. Danse Macabre is currently the main music at Efteling's haunted attraction, Spookslot. By the way, Nosferatu is a public domain film and can be found anywhere on the internet by simple download. Comments and ratings much appreciated please! :)

Untertiteln in engl. Archiven. Leider ist es trotz Eu oder aus mangelndem Interesse der Beteiligten für Filme als Kulturgut nicht möglich, eine Kopie für deutsche Archive zu bekommen. 1931 drehte man in England ein remake der Privatsekretärin unter dem Titel "Sunshine Susie" After sucess of the Tonfilmoperette "Die Privatsekretärin" 1930 mit Renate Müller, she made a remake in GB 1931 "Sunshine Susie",1931. SUBSCRIBE AND YOU CAN GET FREE STUFF!!! SUBSCRIBE AND YOU WILL LEARN TO DOWNLOAD YOUTUBE VIDEOS! It's true. The song is named "Gloomy Sunday". It's a theory that if anyone listens to this song, he or she will immediately commit suicide afterwards. I personally do not believe in this theory, but the composer himself, his wife, and hundreds of other people commit suicide right after listening to this song. That was why it was banned (not now). You can Google-check this if you like... Enjoy and SUBSCRIBE!!!
