Alabama's 2009 Season was one of the school's best. They went 12-0 in regular season and 14-0 overall. They were awarded their 1st Heisman Trophy winner (Mark Ingram). They won their 1st SEC Championship in 10 years. They won The Iron Bowl for a second year in a row. Can they repeat such a season in 2010? We'll see! ROLL TIDE! If you understood how much money he gives the University you really would begin to understand just how great of a man he is. Although Penn State only had 2 national Championships, both of which were under Paterno they had 7 undefeated seasons, five of which were under current coach Joe Paterno. Each season they were undefeated many believe they should have had a national championship although the past is gone and their is no changing that. Something that Penn State is known for is their distinct tradition. There are no names on the back of their jerseys because each jersey has its own legacy. Every Penn State fan from every generation can incorporate a name when they see a jersey. Number 32 may be KiJana Carter to some and Franco Harris to another depending on your age. Also #22 Evan Royster to a newer generation and legendary John Cappelletti to another. Cappelletti was Penn States only heisman trophy winner. And of course we can't forget Penn State has been termed Linebacker U simply because they have a tendancy of churning out Grade A Linebackers like an assembly line.
